Clyde's is a staple of Sault Ste Marie places to eat. It's has been around for a long time and really is part of SSM history.
We stopped in with our daughters before they returned to college. We have been here many many times over the years and every time the food is excellent and the service is great.
We had cheeseburgers and milkshakes. All of our burgers were amazing as usual. I can't think of a time we ever had a less then perfect food there. The shakes were delicious and the fries were hot and fresh.
Our server was very nice, prompt, and was all around a pleasure to have serving us. It was busy as usual but our gal was all the ball and the wait wasn't too long for our food.
I have to mention the kitchen crew here. They are the gasoline in the engine at Clyde's. The burgers looked and held together good. Even with my "Works" on mine I didn't have a mess. Good job kitchen crew.
This is definitely the place for both locals and tourists to come and eat and enjoy watching the river. Don't miss it. Your stomach...
Read moreAfter passing by two other Clyde's Drive-In locations during up U.P. vacation, we decided to stop in to location number three. This was our first time eating at Clyde's. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger deluxe (lettuce, tomato & mayo). Was it the best burger I've ever had? No, but it is in my top 10. It had a great traditional, homemade, smash burger flavor and was cooked to perfection! The cheese and bacon also had great flavor. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, however I would have preferred Iceberg lettuce for its crunch, instead of the lettucethey used. Their fries and onion rings were both good and crispy. However, their breaded cauliflower was a bit soft. They also have some of the best tasting coleslaw I've ever had! Our shakes were awesome! And our waitress was very friendly and did an excellent job! (Sorry, we forgot her name, but she was a thin girl with dark hair pulled back). Btw...this is a great for watching freighters (up close) and for watching the Sugar...
Read moreI had ordered food from here about two months ago and I had got food poisoning from the food. I wanted to give the place a second chance so I ordered the big C burger yesterday and deep fried mushrooms about three hours after eating the burger I was violently throwing up. I like the staff and the food which tasted good but every time I eat here I get sick do you guys need to do proper temperature checks on the meat before you serve it. I thought this would be something that would for sure be done considering the fact it took 55 minutes to get my order. I am very unhappy and considering the fact that I spent $25 on my meal and I am not a happy camper!
Edit m- I came over to talk to the manger Danny and he had gave me a full refund on top of a store credit they went above and beyond to correct the issue. I would recommend this place for they’re customer service. And food considering I got food poisoning it still...
