Bad service. Try to get their attention multiple time but they ignore us or look away and pretend not to hear us.
There is a force tip so even if service is bad you are force to pay a "gratuity" and a high one at that.
Good luck sitting at a table then waiting half an hour for drinks, and other 45 mins to get order taken and a single refill, and another hour to get the food. All with you being ignored.
The food was horrible. The burger tasted like it was extremely cheap, which for its price shouldn't be, and was bad taste and texture and loaded with grease (all I tasted was cheap meat and what tasted like a gallon of grease). My brother and I hated it.
My dad's fish was so greasy we took multiple napkins to squeeze the grease out... we did this multiple times and when he bit into it after words his face was still hit with a lot of grease... there was no flavor he said, just grease.
His onion ring were the same way, as where my brothers and my sides.
My step-moms ribs were done in a "bbq" sauce that tasted like heated ketchup. Her broccoli was brunt.
Try to get attention some more but we're ignore.
Then the billed have a forced "gratuity" charge built in. Guess you don't have to care or try hard if you are getting a tip either way. But here is the kicker. The bill still suggests you tip as well... that is what a gratuity is.
Not I believe that an resturant should pay a fair wage to employees and that a gratuity should be optional (not forced) and based on service and food. We had to pay a $25 gratuity charge on top of our bill when we got nothing service and the food was horrible as was the wait times.
We paid, we didn't finish the over greasy nasty food, then left.
Anyone coming up here for a visit please take notice of this review. If you want flavor do not eat here. If you do not want to be FORCED to pay a gratuity charge despite bad service, do not eat here. If you do not want what tastes and feels like extremely cheap meat and extremely overly greasy food, do not eat here. Of you want good service this is not the place to go.
To summarize: extremely greasy and cheap tasting food for very high prices. Forced "gratuity" You will be ignore to the point when they see you they will look away. Be prepare to wait forever.
Thanks for the $150 bill (including tax and a forced $25 gratuity), for mouths full of grease, meat so cheap that even the worst meat from the worst grocery store was better, brunt sides, ketchup flavor bbq, and the worst service I have ever had. Way to make a trip here worth it.
Now I have to find something actually edible to eat.
Sad when fast-food chains like mcdonalds, rallys, and Wendy taste better. In fact they taste like a luxury and high quality compare to this place... which says a lot.
What a waste of money and a horrible experience.
By the way called to talk to them....
Read moreMy husband, son and I are in Sault sainte Marie camping; we had family visit us and they ordered takeout from Antlers. The next day my husband, son and I decided to try it. I skimmed the online menu and then called the restaurant. I told the girl that answered that my sister-in-law had gotten a burger box, but I didn’t see that on the menu online. She said that was a to-go menu. So I proceeded to ask what comes on the burger. She said it’s plain and you can add what you want. I asked her if there was a charge and she wasn’t clear on what is or isn’t an extra charge. Now I will say, this is my fault for not looking at the menu better. After we got our food and the bill, I went back to the menu and saw it says mustard, mayo and ketchup is free. There is a charge for everything else. I didn’t realize this and added lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. The cost of the poutine and whitefish sandwich was $1.00 more than listed online and the extra items on the burgers were .50 more rather than the .30 it said on the menu online. Ok, that’s all very irritating, but the food was just disappointing. The fries were all limp and not thoroughly cooked and the whitefish sandwich only had a couple of bites of actual fish, the rest seemed to be just batter. My husband and son said the burger was decent, but not really anything special. The gravy for the poutine was very salty. It was a lot of food, but the prices were higher than expected and none of us really enjoyed the flavor of any of it. It was disappointing and we won’t...
Read moreOn a cold and rainy Wednesday, which is post Labor Day we were surprised there was a 25-30 minute wait but our group of 7 said we would wait. As we reviewed the menus we scowled at the prices - especially to see they nickel and dime for burger basics like lettuce and pickles. (Don’t worry - ketchup, mustard and mayo are free!) Anyhow, as we waited we saw a sign for the same burgers &fries for $6 if you take it to go. Okay, great. We’re hungry, it’s a wait, it’s cheaper to get a carry out, so we decide to do that. When we alerted the hostess of our decision she had a tone of irritation but she took all our orders. As we prepare to head out another customer said she’d like to order ice cream and the same hostess said “I don’t have time for that right now. I'm sorry but maybe the other girl can go it but I don't have the time."
She walked away before the bewildered customer could even respond. I asked the customer "Are you kidding me?" She said "I'm stunned... maybe I should just walk out with you guys...!"
We all wondered if she was going to seek help for the customer? Was that just her way of turning away the customer completely? We'll never know. She just left that poor woman there with her bewilderment.
We left shaking our heads. Got in the car to find there was no cheese (that was $1.25 extra!) and the fries were way too brown. They seriously need to change their fry oil... but even more importantly than mchanging the oil, that hostess needs to change...
