Pizza Heaven — Restaurant in Sayreville

I use to love this place however how I was treated today is unacceptable. I ordered a large plain pie for pick up when I got there it wasn’t ready yet. I was told it’s being worked on I said no problem and had a seat RIGHT IN THE FRONT. After waiting 40 minutes I got up and asked about my order. The girl in the front said oh it’s ready and pulled it from the top of the oven. I found that odd since I was sitting where they can see me so why they didn’t tell me when it was ready is beyond me. I paid, and went home. I live not even 5 minutes away. I got home and opened my box of pizza and saw what looked like a medium, I ordered a large. Brushed it off. Then I opened my garlic knots and they were ICE COLD! I called and asked to speak to a manager. I explained what happened and he put the lady on the phone again. She then told me it’s not going to be popping hot. I told her I know that but I expect to not be ICED COLD. She said it will be remade for me and I asked if I would have to pick it up or if it can be delivered. She then said if it gets delivered there will be a delivery fee. I hung up. Never going...

Yesterday, while returning from HMH JFK Medical Center after dropping a patient off in the Emergency Room, we were posted into Sayreville, N.J. due to all of the Middlesex Medic Units out on calls.

Unfamiliar with this area and with things looking dark, had to look for some light from Heaven.

Well, when the urge for a Slice of 🍕 hits why not stop by heaven.

Small selection under the glass, today seemed like a Pepperoni type of day.

Tried a regular slice of pepperoni and a thicker, sort of Sicilian thick Style of pepperoni.

Both were just right, good sauces, spicy pepperoni and nice tasting cheese on top of a crispy foundation.

Sue had here usual Plain slice and commented about this location not within our normal service area!!!

I don’t know what kind of deal John made with the pizza gods, but Pizza Heaven lives up to the name. This place doesn’t just serve pizza—it serves joy in a box. The crust? Perfect. The cheese? Melts like a dream. The sauce? I’d drink it if that wasn’t weird (okay, maybe just a sip).

And then there’s John—the legend himself. He’s like the unofficial mayor of deliciousness. Super friendly, always makes you feel welcome, and you can tell he genuinely cares about every pie that leaves his oven. It’s rare to find that kind of passion these days.

Honestly, if you haven’t been to Pizza Heaven yet, what are you even doing with your life? Go. Eat....
