The park is generally a great place to walk and despite being closed at dusk has decent lighting. I've always walked here with a partner and never had any altercations. The park is a neighboring relatively large community and there are many families that walk the park in large groups. And the world of covid deaths could be unfortunate for it's less than wide sidewalks. The park is over a mile long on the sidewalk and contains two separate legs and many things for people to do. Although there are not many places to eat and only one area with a bathroom that is often locked there are lots of benches and laws of exercise devices, a decent skateboard park, docks to fish on, children's play areas, volleyball nets basketball, a soccer field racquetball tennis courts that are well-lit and tons of Pokemon go stops in addition to at least six Pokemon gyms. the Pokemon community in this town includes well over 200 frequent players who communicate via Discord. This does not cause overcrowding because the town in general is full of Pokemon populated areas. The bridges of the park are well-kept and skating is possible if nobody's fishing off them. On the minus side if it rained recently your shoes are getting wet. Guaranteed major problem with the park is drainage. And if it's winter there is going to be areas of solid ice for 12 feet along the path. The next big biggest problem is goose poop. Now I've never worked for a park so I don't know the solution for this but I wish there was one. I appreciate the ducks and geese and their sounds and they mainly get the hell out of the way if you walk by them. They will hesitate if they have babies. Overall the park is fairly well kept. But the drainage make it a no-go anywhere within 3 to 5...
Read moreA calm and peaceful escape along the busy main roads of Sayreville. Two ponds attract water fowl, and contain some turtles and fish. Bigger pond has a nice sheltered deck to go fishing on. Kennedy Park provides a popular skate park and a nice tennis court with stadium lights. A path around the bigger pond accumulated to about 0.85 mile. But be warned, the geese poop everywhere, and after a rainstorm there are areas of the paved path that do not drain well and get puddles, so watch your step unless you don’t mind wet shoes/socks.
Please don’t feed the birds...

There's also a playground for kids as well as skatepark, volleyball, and basketball area. I've seen people fishing and watching the geese, ducks, and turtles. If you're lucky you might see some deer too.
🎆 This park also has spectacular fireworks show every July at the faire.
Please be advised there are a lot of mosquitoes in certain areas so come prepared. Prepare your feet too, as there...
