If Chaos Had a Drive-Thru, It Would Be This Panera Bread
Let me start by saying I wanted to like this new Panera Bread. Fresh location, promising start, all that. But wow… this visit was an absolute train wreck from beginning to end.
I placed an online order for a Pesto Chicken Sandwich with no pesto sauce (pretty simple request, right?) just minutes before hopping in the drive-thru line. When I pulled up, the employee Minnie told me my order wasn’t ready yet and to park by the curb so she could bring it out. No problem. I get it.
Except, 25–30 minutes later, I’m still sitting there watching car after car pull up, get their food, and drive off like they’re in a fast-food commercial. Meanwhile, I’m just parked there looking like a lost extra in a Panera parody skit. Finally, I decide to go inside and what do I find? My food just sitting near the drive-thru window, abandoned like a forgotten prop, while Minnie is busy helping other customers.
Another employee finally hands me my order, and surprise, surprise the sandwich wrapper is caked in pesto sauce. You know, the one thing I specifically asked them to leave off.
For a brand-new location, the lack of coordination, communication, and basic attention to customer requests is astounding. Between the 30-minute curbside purgatory and the pesto disaster, this experience was more “panicked” than Panera.
I genuinely hope management gets it together, because as it stands, I’d rather make a sandwich at home than roll the...
Read moreThe food wasnt bad, but it was very uncomfortable trying to eat there. There was an employee by the name of Annie that made me feel so uncomfortable. Almost every bite I took she just kept staring at me while saying things over her headset. It was very hard not to believe that she was talking bad about me over the headset. The food was actually good today and it was very disappointing that I couldn't actually enjoy it because of 1 employee just eyeing me down. On top of that there were alot of customers just standing at the register when she could have been helping them. Theres no point of having a cashier if she is just going to be hiding in the back. Annie needs to get it together or be trained better on how to be friendly and how to be a cashier. Working in the restaurant industry its common sense not to be staring at customers unless you see that they are not enjoying their meal. Talked to the manager about this situation and he didn't really seem like he was going to get it handled. Its pretty disappointing being that this new location looks promising but fails to deliver. I hope the staff are able to pull it together. Overall, I dont recommend...
Read moreFirst off it would be great if would be great if I could order food at the drive thru without hearing 2 guys mocking women being on their period. Why do they have such immature boys working the drive thru and the manager does nothing about it? I am literally NEVER coming back to this location. I dont even know if I want to come back to Panera at all after this experience. So unprofessional and inappropriate. What is the manager on shift even doing? Jordan needs to get his staff straightened out because this drive thru experience was literally the worst. If you like Panera, definitely choose a different location where they will...
