Edit: I received an initial “let us make it right” email from Brian Fierro (exec director of customer experience), but he never responded to me. I tried twice and got no further communication, so I’m assuming his email was a way to just pacify me and hoping I go away.
Edit 2: This is a caution to anyone buying from Bob Mills: they lowered the price of my dresser by $400 like a day after I bought it. Apparently I should have been informed of this soon-to-be markdown, and I was told that the marketing team would be correcting the issue in the future (zero trust in them at this point). I would carefully monitor the online prices of any purchases for a short time, and then go (politely) ask for a price adjustment if it happens to you. The store did adjust it for me immediately.
Edit 3: I started getting interest immediately even though during the purchase I was told it would be deferred because I bought it during the grand opening. When I went to the store to talk to the manager, he said that I was the original sales rep was wrong and refused to correct it.
Original review:
I went to Bob Mills initially during their grand opening weekend to just look around at everything. I found a couple of dressers that interested me, but I wanted to think about it, so I came back today 02/05. My first impression of the sales rep that attached to me was that she was disrespectful to my disability. Despite me obviously using a walker, the sales rep walked much faster than I could, and I eventually stopped trying to keep up.
She asked me several times if I wanted to buy more than just the dresser, but I told her that I was only interested in the dresser. She next tried saying random things that I might want. NO, lady. When she saw my credit limit, she asked AGAIN if I wanted more stuff. So much for “no pressure.”
During the checkout, she told me that there was a 4 year warranty and how it would cover this and that. She never mentioned it was an additional cost. When I noticed the cost on the computer, she told me that she didn’t tell me the cost because she didn’t know it yet.. she was about to finalize the sale. It would have been an extra $200 that she slipped into my bill. Slimey sales tactics.
For some reason she would not just tell me standard sales/financing information. I have no idea when my estimated delivery will be, and I had to keep hounding her for information like if there is a delivery/traditional warranty. She wasn’t going to mention the delivery fee ($175), or how long my payment plan was going to last. She did give me a basically useless packet of cards with information about things that I didn’t buy. She seemed like she was in a huge hurry to be done with me.
I have no interest anymore in going back there to buy...
Read moreI had always wanted to stop here as I heard good things about this place. We stop in and immediately were greeted by a Sales Person. I give the store props for having "attentive" sales folks, but this person was stuck to me at the hip. I like to shop at my leisure and not be "pressured" to buy anything. The sales person was very knowledgeable, even when they were in their phone scrolling. I did meet the Sales Manager, who seemed a little pushy and "over eager" to make a sale. I appreciated them wanting to bend over backwards to get me what I needed. I did think about the unscrupulous business practice of suggesting that I "return" an item I bought from another furniture store, just so I can get a free Apple Watch was a bit much. If you have a good business and you stand behind your products, your business should speak for itself, not make it seem like you want to rob another store's business just so you can "win" a deal. I got stuck with the Sales Person and the Sales Manager who was very "fast talking and was trying to get me to buy today. I was here shopping for furniture, not buy a car. I felt very pressured in making a decision that I would have regretted later.
To the Sales Manager, I DID go to your competitor across the highway. I walked in, they let me shop in peace and did harass me about buying it "today". It was a MUCH more pleasant shopping experience there, than I had at your store. You need to have your Sales person greet me, show me to the area where the furniture is I am looking for and then let me shop in peace. I do not need the hard sell. I do not need them sitting with me, making me feel guilty that I am wasting their time and NO "When it is right is it right" is a load of crap. It is right when I do not feel like I am being pressured and do not feel like you are attached at my hip. Your competitor also had better financing options, even when I told them I did not need 18 months to pay it off. Stop making it seem like you are selling cars at the end of the month, trying to get your quota, leave customers be when they are shopping and I bet you will probably sell more furniture. To the Sales Person who ranted and raved about all your 5 star reviews, apparently never paid attention to your Google Reviews. 4.6 is not exactly "all 5...
Read moreBEWARE: Their "leather" furniture is mostly polyurethane, but the website fails to disclose this.
Bob Mills Furniture failed to properly disclose the true materials used in the Antelope sofa I purchased at the Schertz, TX location. The company’s website and sales staff both represented it as leather. Only after delivery did I discover that the majority of the sectional is polyurethane, and that only the seat and back cushions are actually leather. The arms, sides, and back are polyurethane.
This important information was not disclosed verbally or on the website. Had I known the sofa was not fully leather as presented, I would not have purchased it.
The day after it was delivered, on November 14, 2025, I visited the Schertz store and spoke with the manager Chris to request either a partial refund, given the product was misrepresented and thus worth less, or permission to return the sofa without being charged the $199 restocking fee and $209 second delivery fee.
Chris refused both options. I again explained that the website does not list the fact that most of the sofa is polyurethane, and the salesperson did not disclose that the majority of the sectional was polyurethane. Their position is that the sale is final unless I pay the additional fees.
I believe this is deceptive advertising and misrepresentation, as consumers reasonably expect that an item advertised as “leather” is made of leather unless clearly stated otherwise. The average buyer would not assume a majority of the sofa is synthetic material. As a matter of fact, after discovering this misrepresentation, I was able to find the same or similar furniture through other websites like Rooms to Go, Ashley, Living Spaces, Home Depot and Jennifer Taylor, and ALL sites accurately disclose the arms, sides, and backs are faux leather, as Bob Mills should have.
Bottom line: Bob Mills Furniture engages in deceptive sales practices and they refuse to make it right. (And don't even get me started on their "everything is made in America" schtick when they are made...
