Arby's — Restaurant in Scio Township

I've never in my life seen an assistant manager or any manager at a fast food restaurant encourage and motivate his only other employee on shift the way I JUST saw Stephen do. When customers kept coming Stephen was taking orders at the register, dropping food in the grease pulling them out when the bell rang, fixing the side orders and doing all the prep work while another employee worked in the back to prepare the sandwiches. The employee in the back was not at all very quick. However, that did not slow Stephen down, and it did not appear to discourage him nor irritate him. Instead, Stephen, while three orders were waiting, said to the other employee, "You're doing a good job, buddy." That encouraged the employee to continue to work as dilligently as he could and say, "Thank you!" I was completely humbled and touched by this ideal display of teamwork, support, and love in the workplace. While watching this continue in my presence even as customers kept coming, I was immediately encouraged to reach in my pocket and pull out a cash tip for these professionals that was...well...much more than what it cost me for the milkshake I ordered (which was great as well). This Arby's is located inside of a Pilot truck stop, on the south side of I-94, at exit 167, in Dexter, Michigan, and is almost always busy. Even though they are always busy, I've always received my order very quickly, and so far, they've never made any mistakes with anything that I've ever ordered at this location. The crew they have working there are all hard working, and I've never encountered anyone there who wasn't very courteous and polite. As with any other Arby's location,the food is a little expensive, but when I'm at this exit (167), I always come here. The only other fast food options along I-94 at this exit, are a Popeye's across the street at another truck stop, and a Subway, which is inside of the other Pilot truck stop at this exit, on the north side of the highway. As a trucker, sometimes you have to grab a bite to eat where you can. This Arby's at the Pilot Travel Center on Baker Road in Dexter, MI is one I've been to before, without issues. This time (June 12th, 2025) had a minor issue: my Arby's mailed coupon was not applied, and it was clearly visible and on top of the cash I handed the associate. They "did not realize" I had a coupon until after the sale was completed, even though I let them know I had one and it was obviously on top of the cash I handed them. There wasn't a manager available to correct this issue, and I was not going to make a major fuss about a coupon when there were about 8 customers behind me, waiting their turn, so I left with my regular priced food, dissatisfied.
