I am not really that person to leave a overwhelming nasty review but this deserves to be noticed espiecally with everything surfacing around COVID-19. I truly want to give this place a good review because of all the positive things I heard before hand which lead us to eat here in the first place.. but.. I honestly cannot even believe this place even is open. I understand that not all resturants are going to complelety flip their establishment for COVID-19 due to $$ or time or staff but I do not see how they are getting away with everything. There were no signs or anything from what I could see in place to advise guests to maintain distance or to even wear a mask. Guests were cramped up in the front of the resturant waiting to be seated all on top of each other.. not to mention as you are sitting you just truly feel rushed because you can see other guests waiting and the wait staff could care less about your enjoyment of your meal only to keep it moving along and to get lost. The very old/ out of style menus were thrown on this table that posed as a "cleaning area" because there was a spray bottle and a rag god who knows how long that has been sitting there and been used or not ... and as each table was sat I watched the multiple waitresses grab the SAME menus with no type of cleaning prior. I had mentioned to my waitress if she could clean our menus because I watched her grab dirty ones..just trying to be precautions and she claimed "they were cleaned already" and lied directly to my face.. she noted after I said I watched NO one clean them and she did it quickly at a side table. I normally have high standards for a resturants but during COVID they for everyone should be through the roof. After I noticed all of our silverware sets were dirty and stained as if they were ran under cold water and not properly cleaned... the table next to us that clearly was not being used because of socially distancing was covered in trash esp underneath the table.. how hard is it to wipe the table real quick and give a little sweep? Clearly impossible. Next... our drinks I was given the wrong one.. I get it mistakes happen but the waitress`s attitude was just as if she did not care and was too busy else where to fix it. They could use some more training or wait staff in general. The worst part was the food.. came out really late, soggy and incorrect. I asked for no meat I was given heaps of meat on my nachos, our tacos were thrown onto a plate and I bet you guessed it our waitress never came back to ask if we were ok or needed a drink refill as we could of used a couple. She finally came back after a good 15 minutes and at that point I did not even want to the nachos and asked to remove them from the bill.... and we wanted to leave. The place is OLD, dingy, and dusty and the booth I sat on was broken... each time I moved at the slightest the seat would deattach from the base. It was a super comfortable environment and just felt as if we all were sharing germs on everything. NO hand sanitizer, not once did I see anyone wipe anything down and overall just was DIRTY. I really was disappointed in everything about this place, the only good thing about it was how cheap it was. I really think this resturant could use some MAJOR help. MAJOR THUMBS DOWN FOR ME. I literally feel guilty and blame myself for bad experiences even though it really is not on me. However, my experience tonight here was beyond rude, ridiculous, and fraud in my book. Also, I have worked plenty in the food service industry. I am ALWAYS one to tip well even if the service was meh. I keep the table clean and clean up as much as possible for them at the end. I clean up the floor if my kids get messy. I’m polite and try my best not to be difficult with complicated orders etc. I feel them. It ISN’T easy. First of all, on Google under their business there is a “reserve table” option. I have done that in the past, the restaurant received the request, and all was well. I needed dinner tonight for my family after a long day, so on a whim, I used the “order online” option under their business..right next to the “reserve table” button. The full menu was shown. The order was placed. I received progress notifications plus an estimated pick-up time etc. (I have screenshots). I go there, leave my mother-in-law, baby, and 5 year old in the car because I should be in and out. My baby was already crying, so I need to legit be in and out. I walk in and stand at the “wait to be seated sign”. The one server walks back and forth several times completely ignoring me. In my past experience, it’s ok to be busy at the moment, but you’re supposed to at least acknowledge the people waiting. I’m waiting, waiting, waiting. It’s starting to get uncomfortable now. She finally asks what I need. I said I had an online order. She took my name and mumbled something about going into the bar and a server would be with me. I go to the bar and tell that server. She also asks my name. She then disappears for the next 15 minutes. I’m waiting patiently for all that time until I realize they don’t appear to care and obviously forgot about me. They’re doing everything else out there. I check my bank account and sure enough a $40.00 charge was taken out from Playa Cancun. I walk out and tell the two servers there that I have kids in the car and I’ve been here waiting…soooooo….what’s the deal. Understandably, I’m a little testy at this point. They continue to just shake their heads at me and shrug their shoulders. They asked how I did an online order, through what app, and were there progress notifications (as if they don’t have any online ordering?). I said yes AND there’s a charge on my bank account. They say, “Well we don’t have anything!” I say, “Nevermind, I’ll just dispute the charge,” turn and walk away. I can hear them as snarky as can be “Ok! Cool! Bye!”. Nice girls…nice. Had they handled that in a mature, civil, manner, I wouldn’t even be sitting here right now. At least have an appearance that you care and are apologetic.. I don’t know…fake it? Read moreWent for dinner there yesterday 06/03/23, we will never be back there again, first we ordered drinks my fiance ordered a tequila sunrise very easy drink to make, the waitress came back after awhile with are drinks and said I don't know how to make that as she wasn't trained in bar tending but made it anyways it was really bad tasting, we ordered food and my fiances food came out wrong twice she tried eating the second round but only a few bites as there was something wrong with it and didn't taste right and came with abunch of other stuff on it that wasn't mentioned on the menu and the waitress said that's the way they are and said none of the stuff on the menu says the right ingredients in it which is bad if someone has a allergy to certain items, after a few bites though see sent the food back and didn't get anything, my food was severely over cooked as I got the mixed fajitas and the chicken was rubbery and the beef was extremely had to chew now my fiance has food poisoning today and is nuases and can't stay out of the bathroom this was the worst experience we've have ever had at a restaurant and will never be back only thing that was good there...
