Went there before Big Pine Lakes hike on July 19'th, 2025. Brewed Awakening was the only real coffee shop open in Big Pine that early in the morning. Lovely ambient, cute vibes and surprisingly fantastic coffee! So glad we didn't have to start such an amazing hike with gas station coffee (imagine that!). About the service: long story short (aside the great coffee), I left my new gloves in the bathroom. Called them and realized I would not be back before they close. I lost signal and was not able to reach them again in order to coordinate anything. Next stop was mammoth and I wrote off my brand new cool hiking gloves. Lo and behold, Shelly (one of the owners) leaves a voice message for me (which I received when I arrived at Roseville, CA. So yes, far too late! Thanks ATT lol), ensuring me that she will make sure I receive my gloves. I forgot all about it and she caught me AGAIN and asked for my address and made sure I received them. Dude at counter was super nice. This chai (large, iced) is PHENOMENAL. It isn't too sweet, there's a bit of a kick, and the after taste lingers. Most cafes overload their chais with sugar and the aftertaste drops off immediately.
