Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Scotts Valley

Changing my 5 star review from 4 years ago from 5 stars to 1. I wish for the first time I could give none. Went at 7:15pm Monday Jan 3rd through the drive-thru. Got the same meal a guacamole burger. And a cheese burger and large fries i had gave 5 stars for. The service through the speaker was rude and sharp. No price was given just pull up to next window. The dark haired young thinner woman who answered the window tells me $26.90. I'm suprised as I got one meal combo and a cheese burger and fries. Hand her my card and she walks off and starts playing with her phone after charging me. I'm still wondering about my bill. The menus outside are super old and outdated and tiny. Finally she brings my card back. She brings my food in open bags and slams the window. I'm wanting ketchup and a recipe. Finally 5 minutes later she comes back and I ask for ketchup and a receipt because I'm feeling I've already been overcharged and she didn't give me one. SHE Literally acts all annoyed and gets me a receipt I can't read. The ink needs changed on the register. I'm waiting to ask for another 8 more minutes of watching her on her phone ignoring me sitting there with my food getting cold. Worst customer service I've ever had and I give huge leeway for the past pandemic. By the time I got home with my 2 meals for twice what they were wort they were cold. WORSE MY Expensive guacamole bacon burger was flat and had zero guacamole. Was disgusting. I want a refund for this. It was awful. Aswell watch out that woman will put you put you out of business. Prominently located at a busy intersection but is never as crowded as the McDonald's at the other end of town. The McDonald's gets quite crowded at times with a line, but in the few times I've eaten at Carl's, I've never seen that happen. The hamburgers are tasty and better than any at McDonald's, and they have a few healthy salad options too. Carl's gets extra points for the Certified Vegan Beyond Burger® patty that's available for $2 extra on any burger menu item. There's an American flag ("United We Stand") in the front window, and the ownership has a right wing background, and I mostly go elsewhere even though this is the closest fast food restaurant. Went in with the intention to get a milkshake malt. But upon arrival the drive through was crowded with cars. Went inside to get service no one at the counter, dining room was horrendous. Took ten minutes for someone to come to the counter and when they did show they had a bad attitude towards helping out. I asked for the bathroom code and they wouldn’t provide a code. And there didn’t take my order they turned away and ignored the customers at the register, that’s a couple and myself at the register. Didn’t even get my milkshake on how bad the service was.
