Taqueria Los Gallos - Victor Square — Restaurant in Scotts Valley

vegans: get the tostada from the vegetarian menu and ask 'em to hold the cheese & sour cream. It's huge and barely $5. Have them hold the paper they usually put between the tostada and the plate. That paper gets wet and you end up spooning it up when you get to the tostado shell. Pretty silly, huh?

How could they improve and set themselves apart? Why not add creative options like:

Artichoke Cactus Vegetables Mushroom Vegan vegi proteins (ground mock meat)

Maybe places like Salsa's & Taqueria La Cabaña in Santa Cruz have me spoiled. Salsa's has 'Vegan' faux cheese & sour cream. Taqueria La Cabaña has the Azteca & Mayan which have creative ingredients like those above making it MUCH better for vegetarianos. It's quite simply the best burrito in town.

Two other things they could do to make this store rival places like Salsa's & Taqueria La Cabaña:

Offer a whole wheat flour tortilla giving customers the illusion that they're eating healthy. Offer vegan mock meat protein like those from Gardein, Beyond Meat, Yves & Tofurkey. The TLC has Boca burgers on the menu already. Why not offer to add these to the vegan burrito?

In summary, These Scotts Valley, California locations seems rough around the edges. Every problem that we encountered is fixable. I have hope for them and plan to return soon. I do appreciate their efforts to accommodate veg...

Had a very bad experience at this restaurant. First the person behind the counter was distant and non engaging. When ordering we were asked to go or dine in. I specifically said dine in. Well it was given to us in to go boxes. Being the first time to this establishment I thought well maybe that’s the way they do it here? After sitting down to eat I opened the box to a mess, the enchilada sauce was all over the taco so I couldn’t even pick the taco up without getting this terrible looking red sauce all over, the beef in the enchilada was terrible tasted like it was saturated in some old grease. I then noticed the person bring the food to the table next to ours on the dinner plates!!! So I asked why did we get boxes, and he said I ordered to go. I was double charged and when asked for a refund, I was told I needed to show proof. I showed my bank statement and then was refused a refund due to both charges were still pending and needed to wait until both charges cleared to receive refund. After both charges cleared my account and showing proof they still continued to deny my refund and asked me to come into the restaurant at a later date. Completely unprofessional and worst customer service experience. $12 dollars is not worth my time but I suppose to a struggling business it's a lot. Please double check your receipts if you decide...
