First Watch — Restaurant in Scottsdale

What a great way to start the day! I hadn’t been to First Watch for several years, since I moved from the area. When I walked in, it felt as if they rolled out the red carpet for me. Mary Louise greeted me with the friendliest “Good morning!” My first thought was that she was going to be my server because greeting somebody that way would increase the gratuity. To my surprise, David, another incredibly happy server approached my table. I told Mary Louise how her greeting made me feel and she replied, “We all try to help each other out.” After placing my order, I received the most delicious coffee! My omelette, potatoes, and bread were over-the-top delicious! Then, after letting David know that I was moving back to the area, he came over to my table and said, “Are you going to be returning and ordering the same omelette in the future?” I told him that I was. Then he told me that he was going to challenge himself to try and remember my order. Who does that these days? David does. I told him that there was no doubt. Then he told me that he was going to challenge himself and try and remember my order. Who does that these days? David does. If you want to have a great start to your day, I highly recommend First Watch! I’m going back again...

I love this place! Good food and the coffee is really good. Strong without being bitter and I like that it's not acidic tasting. But ask for fresh/cold half & half rather than using the little capsules on the table. It makes all the difference!

Hubby had the biscuits and turkey sausage (not pictured). Good but nothing to write home about. A little watery and sausage was broken down to flavorless crumbles. I had the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl and it was incredible! First time I had it, it was a little undercooked but this morning they nailed it! Perfectly cooked, flavorful and really filling. I can never finish one on my own in a single sitting! Kiddo had the rainbow toast, which was delicious! Nice to have fresh fruit, rather than sugared. She ate one of my eggs and this was a perfect breakfast for her. I feel better about giving her this than chocolate chip pancakes or a plain piece of French Toast with syrup.

The restaurant was packed but the service was exceptional! Thank you Olympia. She was friendly, attentive and actually gave us a chance to try our meals before asking how they were. I'm really glad we decided to have...

Really great food, service was slow but we had a party of eight. Everyone liked the million dollar bacon it was maple flavored, sweet and salty. I highly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes, they are served with lemon curd and strawberries. These pancakes were so light (for a pancake) fluffy and delightful. Waffles and french toast were both enjoyed without complaint. If your looking for something more savory the skillet with eggs peppers onions and veggies was quite good. There were quite a few cute touches on the walls and throughput. We all liked the silverware wraps that said I love you more than bacon. We tasted the juice, ginger refresher I think it was called wake up. (My hubby loved it) Waters and coffees were filled up as needed. Other than the initial slowness for ordering and delivering food the servers were very friendly and attentive.
