~Drinks ! Whoa 😳, I realize that your probably paying for Ambiance; but the 2 bartenders, fed me a "line" like I just turned 21 yesterday & started drinking.
Ordered 2 Tito's Martinis straight up, no vermouth - 2 cute little shaker's with measured amnts of Vodka & 3 Olives 🫒🫒🫒 didn't fill our 🍸Martini🍸 glasses ! Well, I asked the bartender if we could get a bit of a Topper (as those Guests glasses sitting down from us) Well, she did!
~FOR FULL PRICE !, AS IF I WERE ASKING FOR A DOUBLE!!
-Lets keep in mind, I didn't just order my 1st drink last night.... Don't bother telling me... "Oh, well they asked for 'juice' in theirs..."
Juice? Really? They asked for 3 shots of Vermouth? Or.... Well, They're glasses looked pretty 'Clear', so they weren't having Dirty Martini's... No ice! 🧊 So they must not have asked for a watered down Martini 🍸!! What exactly am I missing here? Ohh, yeah, ya just didn't care & up charged me in order to get a larger tip on a really slow Friday night.... Hope you enjoyed the only full 20% of the night.... [Karma] ....that's all I have to say.
Come on Boulder's! Let's try to assume that we're "Locals"; treat customer's as Treasured Guests in the hopes of bringing 'Us' back! To this Beautiful Resort with a Couple of Views!!
But don't kill the Golden Goose! Because neither of the bartenders engaged; had any personality; not outgoing, inviting, absolutely not friendly; or Honestly even wanted to "Bother" with us!
How could mgmmt (with any experience!) Have decided on bringing on these team members? This they're 1st mgmmt in 'Hospitality'? (Whoops! Yup! I speak from some Experience!)
Well.... Good Luck! Everyone, be weary ask for pricing Up front, Go ahead & blame me with my review, Please Tell em.... And if they learn from 'Me' & Hopefully 'You' -they...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at the Boulders Resort last December 2014 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and everyone congratulated us and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in a casita and our driver lit the fire, showed us how everything worked and was just great. We made a dinner reservation in the Palo Verde and were very impressed with the service. Our waiter even treated us to champagne. The food was excellent, the service attentive and we had a wonderful experience all around. I don't remember what we ate but we were both more than pleased with our evening. This past December we decided to go again to celebrate our anniversary and were hoping to have the same experience. Unfortunately the Palo Verde was under renovation so we were not able to eat there. We couldn't contain our disappointment and told them that was the main reason we came. They assured us that the Grille was very good and in fact had the same chef during the renovations. We were told that if we would like to try it that they would look after us. Well, we did go and the food was excellent again, the chef came out to welcome us and the staff did not let us pay, not even for the liquors! We couldn't believe how generous and friendly everyone was toward us. We stayed over at a casita again and had a terrific breakfast, lovely fruit and pastries. Our initial disappointment regarding the restaurant was turned into a wonderful experience again. This resort does not need any lessons in how to make their guests welcome and they more than compensated us for our initial disappointment. We would recommend this resort, the restaurants and the excellent service to anyone. The setting is lovely and we enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the beautiful...
Read moreTerrible food for outrageous prices. I’ll start with the positives- our bottle of wine was good and the decor was nice. It ends there. Our reservation was for 6:15. We were seated with our 21 month at a four top table. Just as we were situated, they made us move to another table. As soon as we were seated at the new table I ordered my daughter a kids pizza and side of fruit. We then ordered a bottle of wine and ceviche. After our waiter served our drinks we ordered lamb tacos, tortilla soup and the special of the night- scallops. Over twenty five minutes later we were served our ceviche. The acidic sauce in the ceviche had a nice flavor but the ingredients were the quality of a cheap bar chain. There was no chunks of fresh fish to be found, just over cooked boiled shrimp and some veggies. We were told our daughter’s pizza would be out soon. Another twenty minutes later they finally brought her pizza saying the first one was burnt, which they never told us. Then our main courses came out right after and then they finally brought her fruit. I couldn’t even eat my $38 scallop dish, it was so bad and there wasn’t much food on it. My husbands tacos were burned and the tortillas tasted store bought. We spent $200 on a dinner that was no better than going to Chili’s. They also didn’t comp my daughters pizza even though she had to wait 45 minutes for it. Our server was nice but obviously flustered, literally running from our table to the kitchen and back. We will not go back and will not...
