Iconic mom and pop pizza. Thin crust with a mildly spicy sauce. It's always the simple things that are awesome. The owners have family pride in their product and the coworkers are either family or seem like family...always polite and cheerful..excellent service. Cooked pies are always not too crispy My family has loved Nicholas' for 4 generations .It is a family mandate to bring a few Nicholas' raw pizzas whenever we go to a reunion, or order some for the relatives to take home when they visit. My family has FED EX'D frozen pies to Montana, Alaska, England, Spain, Maine, and most recently South Africa (still waiting on how that turned out) You are missing out if you don't eat a pizza...

Nicholas' Pizza is that pizza place that has been with us forever. Located on N. Washington Ave in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is that home away from home. During a challenging life event with my Mom, we were somehow told about the taco pizza. So today was the day to try it, and omg, it was incredible! They should really sell tacos, too. Pepperoni is always a favorite, and the plain is a win any time. Oregano and a sauce just right is what kept us loving Nicholas' for life. Warning, You can definitely eat a tray yourself, so get one for each person. They're taking some days off starting next week, so get there this weekend or when they return. What a find!! We were in Scranton, watching our son's bestfriend play football, and I wanted pizza. I can't have gluten, so, I searched in Yelp, and this place came as a suggestion, that was really close to where we were. The pizza is NOT your regular Scranton/Old Forge pizza (thick pizzas). This a thin, crunchy pizzas, and so delicious!!! An old style pizza shop, it feels like you walked back in time. The employees were super nice, we ate there, and took the rest to go.
