We’ve now been to this Texas Roadhouse twice and had a bad experience both times. I didn’t leave a negative review the first time because the manager made it right and I wanted to give it another chance.
We arrived and when they were seating us, we were taken to a table that had people at it but you’d think that would be no big deal because there were multiple empty tables in the same area. Well instead of just seating us, we just stood there while the hostess walked all the way back to the front to change our table number. And when she finally came back, we had to walk alllllll the way back across the restaurant. A random waitress stopped and asked if we had been helped because I’m sure we looked like complete idiots just standing there in the middle of all these tables. By the time we got seated our rolls were cold so when our waitress finally showed up to get our drink order ten minutes after we were seated, we asked for new rollls. Did she bring them? No. She didn’t. I had to ask the runner who brought our appetizer out to grab us some. We tried to order rattlesnake bites but they were out supposedly. And then our food came out and our mashed potatoes were missing. She said they had to make more and never offered an alternative side. The manager came around and asked if everything was okay and I said no. I explained the potato thing, he said they were mashing them and offered for us to either get another side or wait just a couple more minutes. That turned in to another ten. By this point we were beyond annoyed and almost done eating. Both times our steak was super dry. I had to send mine back the first visit. My husband got porkchops and my son got steak the second time, both dry and burnt. My chicken was really good shockingly. We can get past the food not being up to par, but the service is not good. I don’t get it because all you see is servers standing around. I honestly feel like they have way too many servers working at one time. They’re standing around blocking the walk ways….its pretty excessive. Our server also took forever to bring me my change; we had a coupon for a free app and she actually took my husbands phone with her across the restaurant to scan it which was kinda crazy. It has a code, write it down to add it to the ticket. Theres no need to take a break patrons phone out of their view. I know this is a new business to Searcy but if it’s consistently bad, it’s not because it’s new. Just save your time and go to Colton’s. Food is better, service is top notch usually, it runs so much smoother. This place needs to improve drastically, we weren’t at all impressed with this place.
Edit: we gave it multiple more chances and it did get better with the service. But this last time we went, we got terrible service once again from (I think this was her name) Cam. We told her we had a coupon for a free app, she charged us, we waited over 20 min for her to come back so I can pay cash and get it fixed but she never came back to check on us. Multiple servers walked past us and I tried to get their attention but it didn’t work, they were all too busy goofing off because it was almost...
Read moreMy significant other and I stopped by Texas Roadhouse this evening, and despite how packed it was, we had an awesome experience. We noticed the crowd from the highway and decided to join the waitlist online. Online quoted 30–45 minutes, but we were pleasantly surprised to get a text just 15 minutes later to head up to the host stand. On our way in, a few guests warned us about “ridiculous seating times,” but thanks to the online check in, we were seated right away.
Once seated, our drinks came out quickly, and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. I love bringing honeys to try on the rolls (this time lavender honey! Amazing!) and this location is hands down my favorite Roadhouse. (My only little wish? That someday they’ll add beans to the chili!)
Our server, Rebecca, was fantastic. She kept our drinks full, our tater skins were the bomb.com, and she helped me pick out their blue margarita, which was just as good as she promised. Even though the place was absolutely slammed, we barely noticed how long our entrées took because we were having such a great time. Both my boyfriend and I work in the food industry, so we understand the holiday rush, but Rebecca and the manager, Morgan, went above and beyond. They were more concerned about our wait than we were! They even insisted on taking care of our meal, which was far more generous than we ever expected. (They jokingly offered their firstborn, too! While tempting, we told them we were more than happy already!)
This outing was extra special since it was my boyfriend’s first time out of the house since his accident, and it truly meant a lot to us to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves. A special shoutout also goes to Braden, the busser, we were blown away by how quickly and efficiently he flipped tables. We both said we wish we had one of him at our own jobs!
Overall, it was top notch service and another wonderful visit at our go...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Texas road house I’ve ever been to. I’ll go down my list of complaints.
1.)They need to fix their wait situation, getting called in by the app like my table is ready and then having to sit another 30 minutes is absolute bull**. I’d rather sit in my car.
2.)The waitress was inattentive, couldn’t listen, and then messed the order up. That is still not enough to justify a 1 star review to me. A restaurant has to go above and beyond to get a 1 star. Weather it be rudeness, nastiness, pricing, etc. My wife ordered the loaded sweet potato. They had a discussion about brown sugar and my wife confirmed that’s what she wanted. I ordered the combo with an 8oz and shrimp, my wife pointed directly on the menu of what I wanted. We didn’t get the potato or shrimp. We assumed it was an error in the kitchen, and informed the different server we didn’t get what we ordered.
Or original waitress flew out of the back and more or less accused us of trying to get free food. We told her we were not interested in anything else thankyou. At this point we’re done eating and trying to get someone else’s attention to get to go boxes, we hadn’t ate 1/5th of our food and we were ready to leave.
A supervisor comes out and singles me out of everyone like I’ve got a problem. I didn’t have any problem. I was waiting for my wife to come back from the restroom so we could leave.
So not only did we get attitude twice, idk what the second touch up was about from the supervisor but the attitude from the first waitress was uncalled for.
3.)They have some pretty tough steaks.
Won’t be back, first time I haven’t tipped in 10 years. You can offer me a years supply of free food from this place and I won’t take it. Being accused of trying to get free food more or less steal has pissed me off to the point there is nothing they can do to...
