Much more than a “neighborhood pizza place”, which is what the exterior conveys, GH Pasta and Pizza is a quaint, elegant establishment that offers a very delicious, high quality, in house made set of products, notably pizza crust and pastas. This is a smaller dining room; DO make a reservation or expect what might be a very lengthy wait. There is outside (covered) dining, however, cooler temperatures may make that less appealing. The pizza is phenomenal, well worth what might seem a higher price. The cheese and toppings were fresh and plentiful. A single pizza could easily serve two, a larger party should consider additional pies. The pasta was fresh, lived up to its billing but the pizza was the winner hands down. The calamari is whole, not rings, and the breading is bursting with flavor. Generally, $100 for “pizza” for two (with appetizer and a glass of so wine; before a 22% service charge) would be excessive, however, the overall experience made it quite worthwhile. Reserve YOUR table, arrive hungry, and enjoy.

Got there once it opened at 4pm. Atmosphere was pretty wack given that this place took months to open. Very “rustic” interior. Several cracks on the walls of the bar area. Sticky, unwashed floors? I know y’all have several other restaurants to be looking like the struggle over here. Ordered the clams since that’s what people raved about. Sauce at best was tomato liquid (maybe half a Roma tomato?) with some Thai basil garnish. Lots of tiny clams. Ordered bread to enjoy the sauce only to find it didn’t really work for this one. Anyway- the pasta had some fun seasonal flavors. Ordered a ricotta “pea” agnolotti and lemon sauce. Dish cost me 25ish dollars and it was insulting. Several agnolotti served busted open and clearly without peas. Where’s the finesse? Especially for that price. The only highlight was that I didn’t leave hungry as I could afford to experiment and give these sorts of places a chance. Also their house pickled jalapeños get a gold star.

Made a reservation about a week out- Service was okay, our server was nice but somewhat inattentive - walking by our table after our plates were cleared, and just long wait times in general. They explained the menu but did mention they were out of pizza dough, due to an earlier day rush.

We ordered the meatballs and arancini for appetizers which both were very delicious. We split the rigatoni pasta entree since our server said that the portion sizes were larger and could be split - this was not the case and I would recommend ordering a separate dish for yourself.

We finish our dinner with an order of the Tiramisu which was also very delicious but the portion size was honestly beyond laughable. Very overpriced for what is served. Overall the portion sizes are too small (or overpriced, whichever) but all very delicious; I’d absolutely like to try some other items they offered (if they didn’t sell out midday)

The vibe of the restaurant was … interesting- they had TVs and a somewhat bar-y feel, which was accompanied by a finer dining/high ticket priced menu. (Which is what we thought it would be based off the menu/ how we’ve come by before and been turned away cause we’re without a reservation). It was loud but not the worst experience sound-wise. We had a view of the kitchen garage which was neat- we got to see the kitchen team work while we had our drinks and wait for the next course.

We mentioned it was our anniversary/my birthday but there wasn’t any extra effort on their end to make it special, which is totally fine, bur kind of a bummer since that’s why you mention those kind things to your server/book the fancy dinner in the first place.

They have a mandatory/built-in gratuity of 22%, which isn’t small but apparently pays for the healthcare of their employees.

Overall it was an alright experience/night - the food is very good, the service is friendly but that’s about it, and the portion sizes are a bit too small. I’d recommend coming solo and...

We visited this new local spot hoping for a casual restaurant to add to our list. We had a reservation for 2 at 4:30pm, arrived at 4:30pm and were promptly seated and greeted which was great. We ordered drinks, 3 starters and 3 pasta dishes to share. After a little less than an hour of being seated and very shortly after we were served our pastas..we were told by our server that they have another reservation in 15 minutes for the table. The server quickly boxed 3 almost full plates of our pasta. We addressed this with the server and were eventually told it was a “mistake”. When we left we saw 3 other open tables… won’t be returning! 2 stars for good drinks and a good mushroom pasta dish.

Update: 1 year later we tried this location again. They weren’t nearly as busy and we sat at the bar. Ordered cocktails and 2 pastas. We were happy with the portion size & service. Overall such a better experience than the first time. Yes, they now have a 22% service charge which is on the front of the menu, big bold print on receipt, and the server tells you. However- there is no tip line on the receipt. We would normally tip at around that amount so were find with the service charge. However- the spirits are $$$. 1 grey goose martini (only grey goose no Vermouth or garnish) was $18.00. Water front restaurants in the area are $13-15 for the same drink. But beyond that- we...

My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat before a show at Kenyon hall around the corner.. we saw this place while driving and thought we'd give it a try. They were able to accomadate us even though we didn't have a reservation. we sat at the bar and it was very comfortable. The bartender and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful in being attentive to us and helping us decide what to order... we ordered the ceaser salad which tasted pretty flavorless until half way through our salad he asked if we wanted pepper which gave it some flavor. I had the fried bread and motedllo? Which was great and my friend had garlic bread and fried oysters. The garlic bread was very tasty and had a sweet flavor to it with fresh Parmesan on top. The oysters not so much they were very hard and the corn meal batter they were fried in was pretty awful .. the bartender said that's not usually how they are cooked and took them off are check so that was amazing.. I also found a bug in my ceaser which left it pretty un appetizing so I wasn't able to finish it. The decor here was pretty lackluster and a little sterile.. but it was very clean

I will again give props to the bartender he overall was great and made the food experince not so bad with...
