Get comfortable, this is a long review for a comfort food haven. We were finally able to take our family out, and our first choice was our long anticipated visit in to the Sandpoint Grill. We all shared some amazing dishes. The schnitzel sandwich was surprisingly fresh for a fried sandwich, the vegetables were delicious and the fresh locally-baked bun held it all together very well. The burger seemed to have the same bun and it was perfect. Usually with towers of vegetables the buns disintegrate or become mush. Not here. The bacon was crispy the vegetables matched in crispness and the patty was not only perfectly seasoned but also perfectly cooked. The fish and chips had a crunchy but not chunky batter and the fish flaked apart showing it was not over nor under cooked. The fries had a slight crunch and soft inside and were lightly salted which was all they needed. Also, wow, the buttermilk chicken! What a coating and seasoning. The chicken was done just right and the mashed potatoes were a crowd favorite, although the one who ordered was not exactly happy to have to share them. Lastly, the pork and mushrooms. I was told they were sensational. I don't eat mushrooms or things that have been touched by mushrooms but have it on good authority that no better mushroom dishes exist in our dining universe. I could write another novel about the drinks and desserts, but I will end with the fact they were phenomenal and you will not be...

The food was amazing and so was the hostess who topped off our drinks. Our server however, only came to check on us once after our food arrived. The food also took quite a bit of time to come out when it wasn't that busy. It was also practically impossible to get the attention of a staff member to bring us the cheque. We tried to flag someone down many times including someone, presumably the manager, who was rolling cutlery but I presume didn't really see us. When we finally managed to flag down our server and asked for the cheque, he completely forgot about us yet again for 10min. I really wanted to like this place, and I did enjoy the food, but I can't say I'll be returning due to the abysmal service.

I worked in a restaurant and sports bar for 2 years and while I understand being understaffed or crazy busy, but there is no excuse for forgetting about your table when you have 5 2-4 group ones. If you're too busy, ask someone else to check on your table. If you don't have time to drop off the cheque and take payment, ask someone who isn't busy to help out. The biggest server 101 is to always make eye contact with your tables as you walk by them, so that they can easily grab your attention if they need something. They seriously need to train their front of house staff better, none of that behaviour should...

I can not recommend this place enough! I went today and got a lavender lemonade, which was tangy and delicious! For food, I got chillquilles! They used feta cheese instead of cotija, but they were still delicious. I also had potato skins without bacon to share, which was also good. I would get all three items again (not all at once because I was extremely fully). My mom got the Reuben. She said it was not bad, although she has had better and she probably wouldn't order it again. The atmosphere was also really nice. The venue is much bigger than it looks from the outside. I also loved the low lighting. Bonus, the friendliest pair of women, who were seated next to us, and we had a lovely conversation. The atmosphere of the restaurant really allows you to talk to others (if you'd like).

**We went during happy hour, which is between 4-6 pm. I didn't see chillquilles on the regular menu, only the happy hour menu. I'm not sure if I just overlooked it or if it's only available during a...

We ordered three entrees… the meatloaf, fried chicken, and the roasted beet salad. The two meat dishes were very potato heavy. There wasn’t a ton of meat and the broccoli was more of a garnish to the meatloaf meal (there was two pieces). The beet salad was almost unbelievable. There were three pieces of lettuce and it took up only a third of the container space. There was one teaspoon of goat cheese and a tiny amount of nuts. It was a Starter or Side size, except they are charging entree salad prices.

Excellent little restaurant! Found it by accident on the way home from Magnuson Park, and ended up having a very delicious dinner served by very friendly staff. They have classic American bistro comfort food such as meatloaf, cheese burgers, fried chicken, and pastas, plus a few other surprises. They also have a neat bar area, and a robust drink and wine menu. Highly recommended if you're looking for that classic Americana meal that feels like it was cooked in granny's kitchen. 5/5 🌟

So sad I didn’t take a pic of the shrimp taco. Came here for Happy Hour. Such a cute quaint place with great food. I had two Wagyu beef sliders ($5 each) and one shrimp taco ($6 each) and bread pudding ($8.50) served with vanilla Gelato. I didn’t have my usual Tito’s (because it was HH) but the house vodka was good too! Go treat yourself and thank me later!
