Caddyshack Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sebring

April & May (2 visits) of '25: looking to get a late meal at the bar & a drink. It was 30 minutes before closing, as soon as I walked in, the said they were closed! If this place is going to close at 9:30 then change the hours please. Not coming back unless it's much earlier in the night.

3/4/25 back for dinner. Natalie was our server, she did a great job, thanks. I had the New Orleans Cajun fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken AND Shrimp Again... Still a great dish and big portion, new photo.

12/10 dinner. I decided to have the mixed greens salad with grilled chicken. It was good. Those cucumber slices are huge!

9/3 dinner at the bar with friends. I had the Athenian shrimp over pasta. Good and spicy! Octopus was good although the portion was a bit smaller than normal :(

8/9 dinner with friends - Aleah was our excellent server. I had the New Orleans Cajun fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken AND Shrimp! Yeah what a great dish and really big portion. I actually brought some home (not the norm for me). I did start with the Caddy Legs - this octopus is perfectly done, possibly the best dish here!

4/18 late dinner at the bar. Had the zuppa de mussels and a side of sauteed mushrooms, both were good.

3/22 back with my friend for dinner. I had the octopus appetizer and it was really good! I will definitely get it again. Had the veal tortellini and that was good too. Had a pint of Turn 2 - Sir John's Irish Red, very good.

2/8/24 back for dinner. I sat alone at the huge bar...(you can feel sorry for me if you want, i survived;) i had the shrimp scampi over pasta, it was good! 10 nice shrimp cooked fine and the pasta was cooked just right too. Good service from Jacoba.

4/22/23 back with friends for dinner. It was good and my friends loved their meals. 8/24/22 first time here. Dinner with my friend. Nice spot and a really big dining room and bar. I had the Mediterranean salmon with the fresh vegetables and pasta on the side. It was good, I'd get it again but i will try other dishes first. Service was good and the drink...

Worst serves ever in there tonight Friday 7/28/23 @ 4:15, restaurant was not busy Our waitress did t get her name , she wears her hair in a braided ponytail, she came to our table with the drinks and we wanted to order a couple of appetizers, couple with us had asked about gator tail he didn’t see it in the menu, so he asked she showed him then walked away, he told her would like to order some she said I will be right back and hurried off like there was a fire. Didn’t even ask if anyone else wanted anything. So when she came back to our table finally to take our order i simple asked her in a nice tone if she had order his appetizer, she came back at me with an attitude from hell. “Yes, I did”, I said I was wanting to order an appetizer myself, well I’m sorry I have a lot of tables real hateful. So we said do t worry about it, we would just order our dinner. Friend ordered the LIGHTLY blacken fish, came out to where she couldn’t eat hers and his wasn’t even cooked. They told the server this and her response was well you can write it all day long and doesn’t mean it will be then walked off. Then she came back to see if we needed anything else and if we needed boxes, mainly my friend that hadn’t or couldn’t eat her fish, it was then that the server asked her if she wanted her take it back and get her something else (now the rest of us are finished eating, then you ask if she wants something in place if it) she should have asked her that the first time she came back to the table. She said she would have them take it off the bill. The whole point of this review is that if you don’t like your job or can’t handle more than two tables then you should find another job or ask for help. Be kind to people/ customers. If and when I go back if she is the server I will not stay. Being rude to your customers won’t be a benefit to you or you business. The old timers on the Nextdoor app highly recommend this obscure local eatery so we tried it for take out. Place looks like they opened in the middle of renovations or construction, 25 years ago, & never quite finished. Decor scattered around and stacked up all over the place, no vibe - utter chaos , it’s just weird in there. Congrats, we had the worst food we’ve ever eaten in Sebring this evening. Fettuccine Milano was essentially Mac & cheese with a squirt of ketchup, with some frozen supermarket grade seafood tossed into it. The prime rib was absolutely disgusting, I’ve had thicker deli roast beef . It tasted microwaved. Was ordered medium rare , served well done. Grey in color , no flavor , slimy. About 3 bites of actual meat with a bunch of fat and gristle. The only way they could have served this piece of meat is through a take out box, bc if you brought this to a person’s table , they would have sent it right back. The steamed vegetables were soggy and wet , zero flavor to them… and they forgot the included baked potato , after the hostess made a big production about assuring us everything was in there. Everything was leaking all over the bag, Somehow they managed to remember the sour cream & butter for my non existent potato though. Called back to try and get a refund for the $66 I wasted here , girl hung up the phone on me. Never again. Sebring Restaurants never fail to disappoint. How does this place even stay open?
