I've had the pleasure of visiting Sugar Baby twice now, and it's definitely a spot I'd recommend, especially if you're looking for a fantastic breakfast and coffee experience!
What I Loved:
The Breakfast Burrito is a MUST-TRY! Seriously, it was so good I ordered it on both my visits. Packed with flavor and very satisfying.
Perfectly Crafted Coffee: My cortado was excellent ā beautifully balanced, not too sweet, and not at all bitter. They clearly know their coffee here.
Friendly & Efficient Service: The staff were professional, kind, and quick, making the experience smooth and pleasant even when it started to get busy.
Modern Vibe: The coffee shop has a clean, modern atmosphere that's nice for catching up with friends.
Great Value: Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. You definitely get good value for your money.
A Couple of Things to Note:
It's Popular & Cozy: This place is clearly a local favorite, which is great, but it also means it's quite small and can fill up quickly. Be prepared for a potential crowd, especially during peak times.
Parking Can Be Tricky: Finding a parking spot nearby might take a little patience.
Overall:
Despite the small space and parking challenges, Sugar Baby is a winner in my book. The quality of the food and coffee, combined with the friendly service and reasonable prices, makes it a standout. I was very satisfied with my visits and would happily recommend it to anyone in the area or visiting Seminole. It's an ideal spot for a delicious breakfast or coffee meet-up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was my first visit here. First off, I wasnāt prepared for the self service setup for things like water, utensils, salt, pepper, ketchup and hot sauce. That took me by surprise when itās a tad pricey. Iāve been at other restaurants where basic condiments are on the table. I even had to ask for butter for my toast.
I ordered two breakfast plates. My daughter wanted cheese on her eggs. For some reason the cashier couldnāt understand how to customize that and charged me for a kids meal (comes with cheese, eggs and bacon). Honestly that would have been fine on its own and removed her breakfast plate. So I ended up with extra eggs that I really didnāt need. For two breakfast plates, a kids meal, a side of avocado and a coffee, my order was well over $40 (about $47) spent.
I donāt mind spending that type of money for quality food but if I am paying that much I would think you can just add cheese to your breakfast plate without charging for a kids meal. Maybe the cashier was new? Also for the price I spent I would like a server if you are asking for a tip.
I tipped 15 percent which I know is below average but I got my own water, utensils, condiments and put my plates away for our party of four. With this type of set-up tipping should be minimal.
On the positive note, food was good quality and my daughter enjoyed her coffee.
Now that I understand the setup of this place I can order my food likely to go.
I would give todayās experience a 3.5. Iāll give it another try...

We went for Sunday brunch. The place is bright and festive and crowded. The staff are all nice and helpful.
Iām not a fan of places where I have to stand in line and order and am expected to tip based on service not yet receivedāalthough this trend is getting ever more common.
The lattes arrived and were tepid at best. Thatās what happens when you use heavy china cups that should be warmed. The same problem happened when the plates arrived. Hot toast put on a cold china plate will cause condensation and the toast will have a soggy bottomāand who wants that? In addition, the eggs cooled quickly on the cold plate.
We had a āBreakfast Plateā and the cool eggs were, otherwise, nice. The bacon and turkey sausage were somewhat bland. The hash browns were in a patty that seemed to be something bought from Sysco rather than homemade. No matter where they were made, they were also bland. The sourdough toast, despite the soggy bottom, was quite nice and the accompanying jelly was delicious. The arugula salad on the plate seemed out of place and could have used a bit of dressing.
We also got a Belgian waffle which seemed pricey for a very standard waffle. It included about a half dozen blueberries and some Nutella.
I would go back for coffee (in a paper cup) and a muffin and enjoy the...
