We must have ordered from here on one of their “off” days. I’ll get the positives out of the way. The crab Rangoon and steamed dumplings were delicious. I also liked the online ordering feature which many other places do not offer. I ordered their chicken and broccoli. Now if you’re an avid Chinese food enthusiast like myself, you’ll know this plate is pretty much universal across the board. When made right, it tastes the same. And if it’s not broken, why fix it? The dish checks all the boxes for me. But not this place. Their chicken and broccoli is literally unseasoned chicken. Chicken that tastes like it was boiled in plain water, no seasonings or sauces, and then barely strained before placing it in a to-go carton. My broccoli was runny. There was water at the bottom. The chicken was bland and I was extremely aware that I was eating plain poultry. I couldn’t even finish it. My dogs loved it though. I won’t be back.

We did enjoy getting food here. I ordered the curry chicken and my wife ordered the chicken on a stick with the fire bowl. It was fun to watch the kids be amazed by it. Our server however seemed a little short on patience and annoyed so I'd return but hopefully with a different server.

All 7 of us enjoyed our meal. Our server was a sweet, elderly woman who was a little inattentive to our group. Some meals came later than meals for others. The decor is from the 1950s. The place is small but it was nearly full so I guess it's an OK place.

We've ordered from this restaurant many, many times over the past 10-years and have never had poor food and that is still the case. The only issue I have is they way they continue to raise their prices. This is an average Chinese restaurant, not fine dining. It seems like every time we place an order their prices have gone up, most recently many items went up by three dollars. For example, pre-covid an order of pork fried rice was around 6 or 7 dollars, then it jumped to $10 and now it is $13. Even something small like an eggroll went from $2 to $3; that's a whopping 50% increase! It appears they've raised the prices on every single menu item. I understand inflation has affected everything but these price increases have by far outpaced the inflation we've all experienced. A simple meal for two with no beverages: 2 eggrolls = $6.00 Crab Rangoon = $9.00 Egg drop soup = $3.00 Subgum soup = $8.00 Pork fried Rice = $13.00 Sweet & Sour Shrimp = $15.00 Seafood Worbor = $21.00 With tax the bill came to $81.00 before tip.

The bottom line: In my opinion, the food is decent Chinese food but there is no economic value from ordering there, compared to other local...

My husband and I ate dinner here last evening, and chose this restaurant based on the positive google reviews.

Positives: the restaurant, while dated, was clean, and all of the staff were kind, very friendly, and efficient.

Negatives: the the food:

I ordered won ton soup and the mixed Chinese vegetables with white rice. The soup lacked flavor (I doused it with soy sauce to no avail), the wontons were soft and flavorless, there were no strips of meat in the broth, and very few sliced green onions. The mixed Chinese vegetables were limp, lacked flavor and were drowning in a flavorless sauce, although I requested spicy. The steamed white rice was fine.

My husband ordered fried spring rolls and the Mongolian (spicy) beef with fried rice. The spring rolls were ok, not much filling. The beef, although tender, wasn’t spicy or flavorful and the fried rice was just that (no veg, no onion…just rice).

Thoroughly a disappointment. Do...
