The worst food I have ever had in my life we ordered pupusas and a carne asada burrito. First of all, the pupusas are the worst I have ever tasted, the cheese had a bitter taste and they bring us the order with a pink sauce that is mayonnaise and ketchup and the authentic pupusas come with red sauce, after that we requested the red sauce for the pupusas and the waiter brought us a green tomatillo sauce. Secondly, the burrito was terrible, only took two bites, the rice was very mushy, and it didn't even come with beans and the meat was a disaster, it was lacking flavor, the cheese wasn't even melted and the tortilla was stinky. We also ordered two horchas and beforehand we asked the waitress if it was homemade and she said it was authentic and wow it was literally Klass Aguas Frescas Horchata that you buy at Walmart just because you add milk doesn't mean it's homemade. . Last of all, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that wants to try...
Read moreAwesome spot to find in east TN! I grew up in Southern CA going to taquerias regularly and this place is the real deal.
As others mentioned, the woman who took our order spoke Spanish, but she was ready to go with a mobile app translator. I am white as Wonder Bread, but it was perfectly easy to order between the app and my own knowledge of Spanish.
My friend and I were there to order a decent amount of food for both our families without calling ahead, and they Taqueria Catracho took care of us in about 15 mins, packed the food very well and provided a LOT of very good salsa verde and rojo!
The people with negative things to say on these reviews are likely uncomfortable outside their culture, and instead of recusing themselves chose to leave 1 star reviews here, which is very unfortunate. This is the type of restaurant I always hope to find, but there are unfortunately not many like it. Two...
Read moreWalked in to order some food to go. The menu was scattered across the wall in pictures, which is ok. But there were no prices attached, which seemed sus.
I ordered tacos, and a side of rice & beans. I had asked for no onions but still got onions when I opened the box at home.
The rice & beans were mediocre, especially for the $10 they cost, which feels like an over charge.
The Tacos were pretty good, the price on them was fair, $10 for 4 tacos.
My GF, got a cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was amazing but the fries were garbage. Squishy with no salt.
For a cheeseburger, 4 tacos, rice & beans we paid $32. NO drinks.
I had faith going in as it felt authentic, and had 4.3 stars at the time.
I do not recommend going here unless you're desperate and everything else is closed, as was the...
