Mama’s Kountry Kitchen — Restaurant in Seymour

Best restaurant in town , amazing customer service , the speed of service was excellent , if you love southern food with some southern hospitality and a great group of friends , then u definitely need to try this place , I bet u won't leave that restaurant without saying "So when are we coming back" , the food is something you will have to taste test yourself , outstanding Mama Kountry Kitchen , even more so since you are family owned and family operated restaurant and I bet it gets pretty busy sometimes especially with only 2 waitresses , 1 cook so please people give the food a try and get to know the ppl before you judge the store even if you were to go in and they don't have anywhere to park or literally no tables are available , give them a break they are trying really hard and it really just doesn't sit well when I see first hand someone having a bad day and taking it out on others especially with this restaurant , this could grow so big global thing but no they choose to keep small , so why would you do that , I would've figured maximizing profit would be anyone's goal but they are there for their town and for the regulars that come in every morning , and I'm gonna say this cause I know what I'm talking about here the ones that get up 4am maybe sooner maybe later , that meet at there same spot each and everyday ( Hardee's , CBarrel , even my grandfather met at Kroger's on Hardin Valley Rd everyday with his friends , one day he asked me to go with him to eat and get to meet some of his buddies , shocked and surprised I of course said yes pawpaw I would love to , so got date set but now I have to let the job know but I just couldn't get that day off of work , working for the veterans cemetery I needed to be there for those family and for the men and women that sacrificed it all for us , but to this day I am torn up in ways undescribable , I will never get to cherish that memory of sharing a meal at 4 in the morning at food City with his friends , unfortunately My family and i lost him not even a week later , but I am sorry i got off topic but 1 last thing ladies and gentlemen remember dads and grandfather's moms and grandmother's don't last as long as you want them to , so cherish every moment and make sure to make TIME to have those memories to cherish , so bring those moments to this restaurant you will not...

this place needs to be shutdown. It’s ran by a bunch of hillbillies. They look like they come off of the movie Hills have eyes. They have no common respect, no common decency. We have been sitting waiting for our food for over 45 minutes. Then, when we thought our food was being brought to us, (because it looked like our order) they took it to a table that arrived after us..?? Sitting there confused, hungry, and aggravated a comment was made from my party saying, “That’s not our food” “and I told him, yes the hell it is”

Next thing I know the lady in the kitchen delivered the food to our table and then went on to accuse me of cussing her waitress out. (Which that did not occur or happen, my back was turned to the table, (the table we thought received our food) so I am a bit confused how someone heard me speak when my back was turned, facing the other direction. The accusation was false. Someone obviously miss heard what was said and the entire situation was poorly handled. Beyond unprofessional. It was not handled appropriately. The owner or the head cook (whatever title she wants to call himself) thought it be a great idea to TRIED to humiliate me in front of the entire Establishment and accuse me of doing something that wasn’t done. I even asked the table to the left of us if they overheard me say something inappropriate. They said they did not. So, instead of immediately, jumping to conclusions, maybe next time you should handle the situation appropriately instead of taking the waitress’s side, something else that should also be taken, in consideration, maybe the waitress and the table behind me mistakenly misheard what was said.

Either way, the entire situation was handled inappropriately, unprofessional and I honestly think y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong. If I’m wrong, I’ll make sure to ask the good Lord for, forgiveness, but to sit there and accuse someone and TRY to humiliate me in front of everyone was, disgusting. And I hope karma comes back on each and everyone of y’all because this time y’all were wrong. I...

I must say that when I wrote my original review of Mama's Country Kitchen I was very disappointed in their service and the food. However the owner reached out to me and offered me the opportunity to come back to make our food and dining experience better. And I must say without a doubt she did an amazingly wonderful job. I am so happy that we went back and gave it another chance. The food was absolutely wonderful, very tasty and delicious and the service could not have been better. We greatly appreciate the owner reaching out to us and giving us the opportunity to come back in and experience their true quality. With that being said I changed my rating from a one-star to a five-star.

(This was from the original review that I had written) We stopped in for breakfast this morning for our very first And last time. The service was absolutely terrible, the food was cold and mediocre. They could not get our order correct, forgot our home fries when they set the food on the table and when we asked where the home fries were she said she'd go back and get them and 20 some minutes later after we were completely done eating our home fries finally arrived at the table. We couldn't get salt and pepper for our eggs or butter for the toast so that didn't help either with trying to make the food taste better and just added to our disappointment. The restaurant was certainly not busy so we couldn't even give them that as an excuse. We asked for an order of pancakes and asked for that to be delivered to our table first before our eggs and home fries. Because we didn't want to eat the pancakes afterwards and have them sit on the table cold. But that didn't happen either they brought us the pancakes cold and brought them the same exact time as the eggs and toast. So after spending $19. I was highly disappointed and could have done so much better myself at home for one quarter...
