Rock Inn Cafe — Restaurant in Seymour

If you’re in Seymour, you should SEE LESS of this HORRIBLE, DIRTY-shanty. There are holes in inner ceiling, big enough for Santa and his bag.

No door knob on the bathroom door, the hole was stuffed with paper towels, table tops were sticky-overall the place felt like I could catch 10 diseases.

While regretting my decision to stay, a dog was walked past our table & proceeded to be sat down human style-paws and all on the table top.

I do not live in Texas. I’m not a local. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE.

I would have took pictures but was worried my camera would catch something.

** I seen the owner commented on this review and I can not reply. The dog was not marked as a service dog & regardless of being one, it should have not been sat on the table top. Very unsanitary.

As for the holes, there were multiple in the inner building, in the ceiling.

The table tops, I mentioned to my girlfriend it was due to the sanitary solution as I have worked in the industry & understand what the state and local health departments require, knowing it will do that. You can tell it’s been a hot minute since they’ve been replaced.

Also you can find an alternative means instead of what you’re using for a table top. Something that won’t be destroyed and hold bacteria.

I understand why you replied in the manner you did, it’s your business. I’m not trying to harm it, I’m trying to keep businesses accountable.

We went here thinking it was as clean as the pictures showed and it is not. It’s very misleading.

I noticed many cameras to detour theft as well as protection-yet as ran down as everything is, why not put money back into the establishment? Also the kitchen door had privacy tint over the window-as to not let anyone see inside. The order window where food is usually sat at (an opening) was also boarded up.

It’s almost like you don’t want anyone to see into the kitchen.

If I’m in that area again-I will most def take pictures.

I don’t typically share reviews but this place was actually asking for them so here is mine!!! A group of us stopped in while passing through, if we could only go back in time & pick somewhere else! The staff was incredibly rude, rushed us through ordering after we had to wait far too long to receive service. No refills. Staff standing around gossiping about who knows what, staff cursing, whooping and hollering about. What a neat lil find for us! We were wanting something different & filling for lunch on our 9 hr drive back home. Found this online and decided to give it a try! Glad we did! 3 of us did the $9 Buffett which included salad bar, chicken fried steak & gravy, hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy, beans, HUGE rolls with plenty of butter, and the best fried squash you’ll ever eat!
