If you look at my review history, you'll see I've basically been to every Thai joint in Pittsburgh, which is a lot of them.
This place was a standout. Not the best Iāve ever had in the area, but close to the top. Letās get into it.
First off, the building looks small from the outside, but itās not. Inside, there's tons of seating, clean bathrooms, and everything looks new. It would be an excellent spot to host a dinner with a large group of friends or family.
They also have an outdoor seating area in the front, with tables that each have their own umbrella. You donāt have to worry about baking in the sun.
Parking is free and easy. Plenty of spots.
Now for the food, which is the most important part, and itās pretty good. They have a couple of options I hadnāt seen at other places and a few different takes as well. The crab rangoons were the most unique Iāve had. These arenāt the usual kind. They are filled with a mix of ingredients, including one that was bright yellow. Iām not sure what it was, but it tasted good. The dough is thicker and takes more effort to bite through. They are also really packed, so when you bite in, be careful. It takes more force than a typical rangoon, and itās filled to the brim. The first one I ate blew the filling all over me.
If you are a fan of spice, you might be disappointed. Their highest level hit about a 2 or 3 compared to what places like Red Orchid serve. It's there, but nothing intense.
If you like traditional Thai soups, youāll be happy. I ordered all of them, which is something I always do to gauge a Thai place. They were all solid and enjoyable.
My wife got the basil fried rice, which was really good. I had the ginger fried rice, and it was great too.
If youāre in the area, this is a solid choice. If you're looking for intense spice, it might be worth the 10-minute drive to Red Orchid on Babcock, which has flavor just as good and a level 10 that will have you tripping from the heat. If youāre like most people, including my wife, who usually stay in the level 1 to 3 range, this...

The menu is shortish, most may be ordered with or without meat. This makes the place a great choice for vegetarians š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©.
The very distinction of this eatery is flavor and fragrance of food that is uniquely Thai. Enjoy the aroma of lemongrass, chilies, ginger, basil, turmeric and mild Thai curriesš¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©.
Recommendations: 𤩠Eggplant tempura:::::Crackling fritters of aubergine with moist center has balanced seasoning and flavorful by itself. The dipping sauce adds a touch of sweet and salty. But I prefer their hot sauce.
𤩠Fried Shumai:::::A Chinese influence with a distinctive Thai twist, fragrant spices!
š¤©š¤©š¤© š¤©š¤©Duck Curry (without the pineapple)::::: An outstanding Thai curry with all the whistles. The lychee adds nutty and slightly sweet flavor, making the choice of leaving out pineapple a perfect choiceā¦.The star of course is the very flavorful juicy duck with crispy skin.
š¤©š¤©š¤© Side Vegetables are crunchy sautĆ©, great addition to the Duck Curry that already has veggies⦠more of it is fantastic!
š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤© Spicy Lomien topped with Crispy Duck::::Another Chinese influence with a distinctive Thai uplift. The noodles absolutely absorbed all the fragrant spices it was sautĆ©ed in. Added vegetables gives a lovely textured component⦠and the Crispy Duck made it so heavenly šššš.
š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤© Fresh Ginger Vegetables::::A lovely medley of crunchy sautĆ© of veggies in all the fragrance of Thai spices.
Service is outstanding.
A minor blemish to the menu is that pesky rangoon, which the owner laments that it is there because some people ask it (Iāve never really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time orderingā¦. But had take out. I asked the hostess at the front counter what was her favorite. They had specials. So I chose the one she picked. (I forget which dishes I like ). It was delicious. Iām not a big fan of crab ragons just because you can buy at restaurant depot. (Boxed stuff ). Never had theirs but itās a phobia. The sauce on the special that had rice noodles egg a few shrimp (2) with onions hot peppers was DELICIOUS! Definitely will eat in next time. The meal was enough for two. I did get an appetizer and the sauce was different (very good). Finely chopped radish onion pepper etc. it was wrapped ( I normally wonāt eat this (because you can buy this boxed). However. believe these were home made. It was the real deal. Definitely a five. And ordered 4 hot. I love spicy. Just enough heat but next time the 5! Thank you to the hostess for suggesting. Loved it. Darlene. I...
