A place with a ton of hype after opening this second location after their long successful venture in Blawnox, and they seem to largely be living up to that in the early going. For starters, I made the mistake of ordering of takeout on St. Patrick's Day and also during the March Madness game for Pitt, because having young children makes you sometimes not think clearly. I came to this realization in the parking lot, as I had to park in a makeshift spot at the end of the auxiliary parking lot. But with that said, my food took only 25 minutes to he completed, which was impressive. I ordered their award winning Butter Mesquite wings to try, and they were unsurprisingly very tasty and made well. My wife got the gulf shrimp appetizer with the cool ranch dry rub, which she enjoyed, but thought it was a bit salty. I had the mushroom and swiss steamer, which was a really good bar burger in all facets. My daughter got a cheese pizza, which I was a touch disappointed in quality wise, but as a near 7 year old, she was thrilled with it, and that's what matters. Overall, a nice experience with the service being the biggest highlight, which is huge for a restaurant like that. Will look forward to trying a dine in experience sooner than later.

Nox's on 8 is a comfortable, neighborhood sports bar. They have a fun menu with chicken wings, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Service is friendly. They have a small party room that can be rented. Nox's is located in the former location of Casey's Family Restaurant, a long standing staple in the community. Nox's has picked up where Casey's left off, serving the community with hearty meals and a comfortable gathering place. When I visited we tried the monthly appetizer special, the hush puppies. They were tasty little dough nuggets. We also had the Friday Lenten special, fish platter. The fries and cole slaw were really good. So was the fish. It was warm, fresh and breaded with a potato bread crumb mix. I'd definitely like to visit Nox's again and try more of their extensive menu.

Recently opened. (Formerly Casey’s Family Restaurant, owner retired). I see pizza items from Casey’s are still honored on the menu, will try next visit. My table ordered the Nox & Betzburgh signature steamers. “The Nox” steamed ground beef burger (pictured) with roasted red peppers & pepperjack cheese was delicious. Nox sauce is zesty/tangy. The tasty Betzburgh steamer’s Cajun seasoning goes well with the grilled green peppers & onions, with a generous crispy provolone wheel that covers all sides of the burger. Both come with thin cut fries. Parking lot was completely full, but it was opening week. Wheelchair accessible, clean, nice atmosphere. Note: Cash payments preferred. “A 4% surcharge will be added to all credit/debit transactions.” mentioned at bottom of receipt.

I cant stand when people give low ratings for things like "i went on a friday at 5 pm with 12 other people and it took too long to get my food".... Stop it, whiners. You know what you're in for when you walk into a popular establishment at a popular time... relax, have a beer and wait for your food. Its well worth it. Apps and sandwiches are lights out, im sure the steamers are great but ive yet to try. Only because im usually there for the wings.

Top notch wings. Dont like the sauce you ordered? Idk, get it on the side and ask for a different sauce if you dont like that one... they're very, very accommodating. Are you going to get charged a buck or two for additional sauce, blue cheese or requesting all drums? Yes, you are. Because they are RUNNING A BUSINESS.... wings are market price too BECAUSE THE MARKET DICTATES WHAT THEY HAVE TO PAY. This is like, 5th grade math people.

Stop in there, try it. Its a bar/restaurant with much better food than your average bar. Dont like it? (You will like it) Then dont go back. Pretty simple.

Bar is great Food...

Was highly disappointed in the food we received this evening. My husband went to Noxs ordered a wrap with fries and a small white pizza. He stayed waiting for the food. He waited an extremely long time, but it was busy and he understood the wait. What we didn't expect was the quality of the food once we got it. We live 5 min from the restaurant, but when we went to eat the food we immediately could tell it had been sitting for quite a while. My pizza was stone cold on a pre-made packaged crust that tasted like cardboard. Also there was absolutely no white sauce that I could taste at all. I ate 2 pieces and threw the rest away. My husbands fries were also stone cold and rubbery. Neither of us are picky eaters, but this felt like we threw $30 right in the garbage. I hope this was just a fluke as I have eaten there before and enjoyed it. Please pay better attention to the food...
