My husband and I heard that they finally revamped their menu after several years of being the same so we finally gave it a try last week. We did not have reservations on a Fri evening but we honestly only had to wait like 15min to be seated and the hostess was super friendly. Our server was Maddie and she was absolutely fabulous, probably one of the very best we've EVER had!! That girl will be very successful in life at anything she does. You can tell by her work ethic and attitude. Our food was really good too. My husband got the meatloaf which he said was pretty good and I got the chicky chicky bowl which was very flavorful. I wasn't sure if the chicken was supposed to be hot or cold but it would have been amazing if the chicken was at least warm...just a suggestion. Now what was terrible were my cocktails. I at first ordered their Pine Cosmo which I sent back because it tasted like water mixed with food coloring and I wasn't about to pay $10 for that. I then decided to give their Bourbon Smash a try which was better but had about 95% ice and very little booze but it had at least a good flavor but unfortunately when I ordered a 2nd one, that 2nd one came with even more ice, no bourbon, no lemon, and no mint so I was paying $10 for simple syrup and ice which did not fly with me so I sent this drink back as well. Our waitress said that it wasn't the first drink she had to send back that evening and that my drink wasn't made by the first bartender. I would have to say that there is an issue with one of the bartenders for sure. Read moreWe were seated at a tablel that was the only one in that section that our server had. All of his other tables were in a different section. I know this because I heard him tell the host when she sat us. He took over 5 mins to come to the table for a drink order. Then was another 5 mins to bring the drinks. There were only 2 of us and we ordered a water and a soda. We then placed our order. During this time 2 other tables on either side were sat and had different servers. Long story short they had their food and had been served desert before we got our food. When I said something to the serve, who had disappeared for 20mins, he said that he couldn't control the kitchen. I said, well if the kitchen was backed up why were both of the other tables getting their food. We again had only ordered a Philly steak sandwich and fish and chips. Not unusual or difficult orders. The other 2 tables had now finished and left and the tables were both clean wd as we sat once again and waited for the server to return with our bill and to get a box. I finally had to ask someone to get our server. Once he came he said he was sorry he had forgotten about us. The manager came over and said she would take some money off the bill and she was very sorry. I told her I didn't want and money off or an apology what I wanted was to have a nice evening with good service. I told her you can't just give horrible service then say you're sorry and take money off my bill. The moment the hostess answered my call, she was not just willing but eager to help, and I could tell through the phone that she was serving with a smile, despite the inconvenience I knew I was causing by placing such a large order right at opening. She repeated every single item back to me and had it perfect and took it to her manager for review and confirmation.
The manager, Dave, was SO kind and understanding, and assured me that they would have every item not only ready on time, but labelled and perfectly aligned with all modifications.
When I showed up, the gentleman at the host table was expecting me and directed me over to where my order was. Every single item was already fully bagged, INDIVIDUALLY labelled, and ready to be loaded. I received help loading all bags into my vehicle, and not one person that I spoke with had even a HINT of frustration due to my large (and time-crunched) order.
The team today truly went above and beyond; customer service was unmatched, and not a single item was wrong or missing, which I can say with 100% certainty has NEVER been the case at any other restaurant.
