My most recent experience with this restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered online. For my Mexican cheese steak tacos, the menu says that they are served with refried beans. It used to be that you had three options for your tacos: 1) order them individually and get whatever number of them you wanted 2) order 4 of the same taco to save some money 3) order 3 tacos and a side. Now the only option is the three tacos and a side but different tacos come with different sides. I don't like refried beans so when I clicked on them to order online I was excited to see that it still gave you the option to pick your side so I chose rice and further down clicked no refried beans. When I got home with my food, there was no rice or beans. Also, I paid $4.99 for a small queso dip. Last time I went, that got me a probably 4-6 oz styrofoam cup of queso. This time, I got a 2 oz condiment cup that wasn't even full. ARE Y'ALL JOKING?!! $4.99 for not even 2 oz of queso. Look I understand times are tough but that is a rip off. If you gave me the same size cup as before for $1 more I would totally understand. But if you are going to change your sizes, at least be honest about it. Instead of saying small, medium, or large, you should put how many ounces you are giving us so we can make an informed decision. I am very disappointed in that dishonesty. I have loved this place since it opened and have been a very loyal patron. Right now I am unemployed and I trusted this place to give me a yummy but reasonably priced lunch and I felt cheated. I would expect more from a family run small business whose loyal patrons very likely kept them from closing during the pandemic like so many other small businesses had to. Do better because until you do, I won't be back and I won't be recommending this...
Read moreSo I tried this place for the first time about 2 months ago. When I first came in, I was greeted with a nice, comfortable, clean restaurant. Everything is well kept and nice, and they have some cool decor.
The service is really good, everyone is very nice and inviting. Food comes out pretty fast, and they even have a robot that brings the plates to the table, so there’s no risk of a server being overwhelmed by an arm full of plates, and then potentially dropping the food.
First of all, I think they have some of the best chips and salsa, the chips are really addicting. You eat one and you cannot stop. The salsa is really good. Best of all, the chips arrive warm/hot.
The first meal I tried was the Chicken Fajitas, they were pretty decent, not bad, but I think there needs to be some more variety to what you get. There’s not all that much chicken, it was mostly green pepper. Now I did leave out mushrooms, but it was just loaded with green pepper. Overall it was just decent, nothing to write home about, but wasn’t bad either.
The second meal I tried here were the two burritos, I forget the dish name. But you get two medium sized burritos, one beef, one chicken, covered with some red sauce and cheese. These were really good, I have no complaints other that they should have come out hotter.
Overall, I really like this place and I will be back and look forward to trying more of...
Read moreLots of kinks to still work out at this street-taco Mexican restaurant and ice cream parlor. Order up front and pay at the cashier. Bar has separate cashier. Sit where you like. The chips and salsas delivered to the table are very tasty. Skip the "large" guac, which is $4 for about 1/3 cup serving. Tacos come as bundles, but you only get the bundle price if you order 4 of the exact same taco. The fish, shrimp and asada tacos were really good. We also ordered chicken and pastor. The receipt is delivered to your table with an expected tip, but you seated yourself and paid at the register. A little weird. The bar has margaritas, beer and wine. It is a separate register. We ordered 2 beers. Attached to the restaurant is the ice cream and frozen desserts place, Diamonds. The ice cream was good, but the bowls and spoons were very flimsy for enjoying. They did not have their own register and we had to get back in line with the restaurant register while we tried to eat our ice cream standing up. It would probably be better in the long run if the restaurant goes full-service and delivers food/drinks to tables like McAllister's deli OR opens more registers and calls names like fast-casual. Potential is here. Hope to return once things get...
