Loved this bakery. Found out about it word of mouth. The doughnuts are to die for. Coconut Cream, Turtle, Lemon and Raspberry filled, Peanut Butter, Glazed and many more. Mr Burkholder was making Apple Fritters. Pies cakes sugar cookies. I love the powered nut snowball cookies. Breads coffee and a drink case. I've been there twice already. Prices are very very good. Support this Business.

Don't go here if you have any kind of nut allergy. They'll make a product that is chocked full of walnuts and then not label it. Fortunately Walgreens was close by and I was able to take my sister there for some Zyrtec before her throat completely closed up. I don't actually think it's legal to mislabel products like this but of course nothing will happen - buyer beware.

This is one of my favorite little cookie bakery places. These classic home style delights are absolutely fantastic. It's really hard to imagine that you can go to a "tiny" commercial enterprise and get something so special, fresh, natural and delicious. My favorites are the ginger snaps and the oatmeal cookies.

I hesitated to review Burkholder's, as it is such a local, prized gem! That being said, they make amazing donuts! Everything I've brought home has been fresh and delicious. Got to get there early, or you might find they've sold out, which just might set the mood for your whole day - depending on how much you were looking forward to your Burkholder's donut!

UPDATE: Can I put in a request.. I would LOVE to start being able to get some "PineCones" maybe 4 a week??? They're my AB-SOL-UTE favorites. No one needs to bother with what they are.... the're terrible and only strong people like me can handle them. ;)

Thank you for the hard work you do to bring joy to so many people! And if you happen to stumble across a pine cone or 2, I'd be more than happy to take them off your...

I love you guys, but me and my 5yo son accidentally came up on Monday when they were closed, and the older lady was incredibly rude with the tone she used to tell us they’re closed every Sunday and Monday. My son even asked why she was so rude. I’ve come up, pretty much once a week for years, but usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. Never noticed the hours of operation before, totally on me. No fault for the days that they’re closed, just the feeing of both of us being reprimanded for coming to our favorite place on the wrong day. Makes sense why she was working on the closed day. Don’t let her talk...

We're just drive by the town and saw the sign on the road and found this place. The shop is located behind the house. So, you have to go around back to enter the shop. Small but cute. Love it!! They have fresh baked donuts, breads, cookies, whoopie pies, and other baked goods. They also sells milks and other small drinks in the cooler. The owner is an older gentleman and he is super nice. We got maple pecan donuts, glazed and peanut butter chocolate icing and one of the cheesecake brownie bites. Super delicious!!
