Unless your famous (insert photos signed by Jack Hanna) or you are a regular you will receive poor service. One time we went in, received drinks then never had our order taken. We waited patiently (as my husband and I both have worked in food service and know how it can be) for 45 minites. We eventually just got up and left. It's been awhile so we tried it again this passed Friday, another terrible experience. People next to us never got their complete order, complained the pancake was under cooked. Another table didn't get the correct bun for her burger, so she sent it back and they came back with an uncooked bun. She never ate her food. We had time to observe all going on around us because after 45 minutes, we still did not have the two omlets we ordered, after tables who came in after us not only ate but we're leaving, we finally asked about our food. Of course the waitress seemed shocked we were asking, came back to tell us we were next. When our food finally comes, it is literally dropped at our spot and left. No questions if we everything looked okay or if we needed anything else. My husbands toast had huge finger prints it, at which point we refused to eat the food given to us. We asked for a bill that never came, so we put money on the table and left our food. We won't be back- and from people who eat at all the time and have given this place a chance 5x, never with a polite waitress or nod from the the owner Demo. I won't even mention the non cleanliness of the place or the some other things we saw ( picking up eggs shells from the ground and turning around and touching food) ugh, gross! Not worth it, much better food and...
Read moreThrough out time a restaurant/ deli/ eatery is based on word of mouth for business. How good the food tastes. What’s the service like. Simple things like that. I cannot tell you about either of those. Did not get the chance. Today I went looking via google for a place to eat. This place is described as a fun family place. So naturally I wanted to take my family, which for us includes our chocolate lab. We went with the idea that we would order and sit on the provide outdoor tables. As we arrive a older man, which I can only assume is the owner steps outside on the patio where the tables are located for eating for a smoke. As I get my dog out of the car to side outside, the old man yells at me no dogs allowed. I can respect that, so I stated I am sorry I didn’t see a sign nor anything online stating no dogs. He then yells again no dogs, it’s a health code violation….. as he puffs on his cigarette in the customer eating area. Now I have not looked up yet the Ohio law about smoking in an eating are outside nor have I looked up having a pet at a restaurant while being outside. But the confusing part of this he yells at me while smoking a cigarette about health codes. Locals in the area may be accustomed to this type of behavior. However for me, that’s a big NOPE! So for me this is not a place I will try to visit again, ever. Make your decision on what you like where you want to eat or support local place...
Read moreThe food is good, but the old owner is rude as hell. This afternoon he was making fun an Hispanic family seated about 10 feet from where he was speaking (loudly). He came back a few minutes after and spoke directly to the family's young son. When the boy did not reply, he asked, "Does he speak English?" The family answered that he did not. The owner replied, "Sure, he speaks English". The family responded again that he did not and the owner said, "Well, get him into to school. He'll learn".
Also, a table next to me complained to the owner that the air vent in the ceiling was dripping on them from condensation. Instead of apologize and correcting the issue, he said, "Yep. It's real humid outside." and walked off without doing anything.
If you talk with others who go to this restaurant you will inevitably hear a story of the owner and his "outspokenness". Quirky is one thing, but in my opinion this man crossed the line, and I am not easily offended. Keep him away from the customers or this type of interaction will start to...
