I'm not sure what's going on with my phone but it wouldn't let me add my review yesterday . but we were very pleased with our visit .debs was extremely busy with the after church Sunday rush and we were able to be seated right away .I enjoy going here because my daughter has a autism spectrum disorder that makes it difficult to take her out to eat sometimes when she gets over stimulated .we were having a terrible week this week and we came to the restraunt the food was amazing our waitress I can't remember her name but she was blonde curly hair in a messy bun and pink shirt she was amazing to us . got the girls food out first and they were super hungry too! And they ate almost every bite and my daughter loves it there. The young man made sure we got a high chair right away for the 1 year old and you guys were so accommodating when we had issues with my credit card I went into the bathroom and started crying because I had no idea what to do and the owner graciously took care of us .god blessed us yesterday and I was very grateful...
Read moreI'll start by saying that the waitstaff should get 5 stars as should the cleanliness factor. I really wanted to love this little diner. They serve breakfast and lunch menus both all day and it is a well rounded menu. The coffee was good. The food, however was a bit worse than just average. I ordered a Mexican omlet with English muffin bread/toasted, and, out of simple curiosity, a side of sausage gravy. I have never bit into such a heavy, dense, English muffin toast. It was awful. The omelet really lacked flavor and was presented as a mess. I asked before ordering if the sausage gravy was made in house from scratch. I was told yes. It tasted like oversalted jarred gravy. My husband agreed with all above descriptions. I ended up not eating. He ordered a #2 from the menu with rye bread toast. That was scrambled eggs and bacon. Thr rye was good (but not really toasted), the bacon was decent quality, but ranged from undercooked to crispy. The eggs were dry and flavorless. The total before...
Read moreWe are frequent Silver Lake Sand Dune visitors and are always trying to find a good place to grab a bite. Which if you are also a Silver Lake regular you know a good place to eat is hard to come by.
We stumbled upon this place today while driving through the little town of Shelby, Michigan. The food is hands down the best we’ve ever had from any little food joint. I had the homemade corned beef hash... SO GOOD! My boyfriend had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and he was obsessing over it, he said he’s never had one better than it. And my son got the burger and he loved it, almost ate the entire thing (it was pretty darn big!) Did I mention the portion sizes are extremely generous?!
Can’t forget to mention the home town feel of this place and the hospitality. The workers and owners are so kind and helpful. They make you feel right at home.
We’ll be returning when we visit the dunes again! Thanks for providing the area...
