I was on mile 40 of what was supposed to be a century (100 mile bicycle ride). I had run out of water about 5 miles back. I was parched and in desperate need of calories. That's when I stumbled upon The Bookmark.
I walk into a lunch counter a little disoriented, "do you already know what you want?" was the first question. "Water. All of it!" was my reply before adding, "oh and a menu too please."
Within two minutes I had a glass of water and both of my water bottles on their way back to my table. I hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu, but when I did..... "VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!"
These cats are legit. I got plenty of food, copious amounts of good attitudes and smiles, and they didn't even mention my grodiness from having ridden 40 miles in 85°+ heat.
What more could you ask for? Let me tell you, my total (with a 40% tip!), under $11.
Eat here....

They have free wi-fi and they also operate the attached bookstore business beside this coffee shop / deli. The area is very clean, organized, relaxing, and just a nice place to spend some time. And is a better alternative than going to a Starbucks.
The ladies are friendly and nice to chat with while making your sandwich or drink....
