This is the closest thing you'll find to a home cooked meal. Small personal friendly family owned business, maybe a 3 minute drive from I74 and ST RD 9 exit in Shelbyville. Open at 4am and close at 6pm, Mon-Sat. Sunday open from 4am, closes at 2pm. Buffet and salad bar $10.25 salad bar $7.99. Both include homemade dessert bar. If you're looking for something fancy and luxurious, move on. If you're looking for good friendly down home service this is your place. Menu's are in photos Buffet: Monday is Soup beans and cornbread with home fried potatoes. Tuesday's and Thursday's are cooks choice but always delicious. Wednesdays and Sundays are fried chicken with all the fixings. Friday is fried catfish and salmon patties. Saturday is your all day breakfast bar. You won't be sorry you stopped in.

Nice little Mom and Pop place to grab a bite to eat. Very friendly staff and prompt service. I had the tenderloin and onion rings. The tenderloin was, IMO, more of a fritter than a hand cut/hand breaded tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked and toped with home grown fresh tomatoes which were fantastic. The onion rings looked to be house made and were flavorful but slightly undercooked being slightly doughy. The absolute star of the entire meal was the side order of sliders. They were fantastic. They get five stars. If I ever make it back that's what I'll get again for sure.

What a wonderful little Cafe! Exhausted from a day of exploring and very hungry, we decided to eat here. We were not disappointed. Home cooking, YUM! Our waitress Donna was very polite and down to earth. Loved Her! Thank you for Wonderful Lunch! There are things in here you may critique... but why? This place made us feel like we could be ourselves, let our hair down, so to speak and fill our bellies full! Thank you 💓

we just moved to town and have given this place 3 tries before deciding to leave this review, hoping that the first two experiences were flukes (they were not).

the food is very bland and low quality, and while i saw the waitress being very friendly and smiley with other tables (obviously regulars/locals) she did not even crack a smile with us once. we are neat, friendly, and quiet customers but we felt like we were bothering them from the moment we walked in. we had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water and silverware (we had 4 diners at the table and were given 1 glass of water and 2 sets of silverware - it took 3 tries to get everyone their own water and forks). we were not offered refills for water or soft drinks and in fact were not checked in on at all after the food was dropped off at the table. the dining room was not crowded but the two waitresses there were not very concerned with our table.

i ordered a 3-egg cheese omelet that was flat as a sheet of paper and contained 2 slices of barely melted american cheese singles.

my daughter was served a rancid bottle of orange juice that was not removed from our bill even though we mentioned to two different people that it tasted off and we would not be consuming the item due to concern of it being bad. i didn't want to kick up a fuss beyond that, so we just paid for it without complaint.

the whole place feels like it needs a hardcore cleaning. i would suggest for them to remove all of the items from the table such as the s&p shakers, napkin dispenser, and the sugar dispenser, and deep clean those items as there is visible build up on and inside of these things. there is a ton of dust-collecting clutter around that is clearly not cleaned regularly. they do not wear hair nets in the kitchen.

as much as i want to support and enjoy local shelbyville business, it was an overall unsettling experience eating here so we will not be patronizing this...

This place has awesome food... The service however is poor... Employees should all know business operations and all be on the sane page... Sherry took my call for my carryout... I ordered two sides of fried potatoes, full order of biscuits and gravy, and a take out buffet which by the way is the same price as buffet to eat in... I was informed that there was no seating and she was very busy... She informed me that I would have one box to get buffet.. Okay that's fine... I sent my husband to get the food after telling him what I wanted off the buffet.. He comes back and informs me that they had already made my box which consisted of a piece of chicken corn green beans and mashed potatoes... Only the potatoes do I like... When I called and explained the situation I was told I was being hard to get along with...that customers are not allowed to go to the buffet with take out in get their own box even tho I paid full price... I then was hung up on and they screened my calls until I called from a different number... I then went in there with the full box nothing touched and asked to be able to get what I wanted or to get my money back... I was rudely told this is y we don't Luke to sale take out buffets.... I explained to Shirley that sherry did not ask what I wanted she said I'd get a box... She replied with then u should have came n and ate.. That's why she gave u... Sorry I'm not refunding u or giving u anything else... SO THEN DONT SELL TAKE OUTBUFFETS AFTER TELLING SOMEONE WITH A FAMILY OF FOUR THERE IS NO SEATING...U WERE ALL VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.. TO PPL WHO HELP PAY UR BILLS... GUEST SERVICE COMES FIRST... MAKE PEOPLE FEEL WELCOME.. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM... DUE TO LACK OF COMMUNICATION... AND GUEST...
