I visited Hometown Pizza in Shelbyville, KY with my grandsons and my daughter and had an amazing experience. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Shelbyville, with easy access and plenty of parking.

The menu offers a wide variety of pizza options, along with pasta dishes, salads, and subs. I decided to try their signature Hometown Pizza, and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce was flavorful, and the toppings were fresh and generous. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the portion sizes were great for the price.

The staff at Hometown Pizza are very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to my satisfaction. The service was quick, and I didn’t have to wait long for my food, which is always a plus. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience.

I wanted to love it. This was my first time at the newest Shelbyville location so that tells you how long it has been. When it was up in town I used to go after all the county home games. Sad to say it's not as good as I remembered.

Everything was just mediocre from the sit down to the food, to the service. Started with the cheesey, bacon fries. I don't recommend. The cheese was hard and stiff and the bacon was gummy.

I was really excited about the cauliflower crust offering. My boyfriend and I ordered different pizzas. I have food restrictions. Sadly, the kitchen got my personal pizza order wrong so my boyfriend's pizza sat on the table and was cold when my pizza was finally delivered to the table. The waitress acted like it was no big deal. The only thing offered was to "munch" on the incorrectly made one while we waited. Disappointed in the experience. Everyone else around us that came in after us, was gone when I got my pizza. We ate a slice each and boxed the rest. Definitely not the Hometown...

My partner and I ordered from this establishment for dinner around 6 p.m. on Thursday, 11/18/2021. Now, I'm normally not the type to leave a negative review, but our experience was really lacking.

First we were given a wait time of 30 minutes for an order of 2 chicken bites appetizers, 2 medium pizzas and an order of chicken alfredo and included a side salad. We arrived about 45 minutes after we ordered and only our pizzas were ready to go. We asked about the other items at which point we were only given our chicken bites. After asking for all our items a second time they realized they didn't have the Alfredo ready. The employee placed the Alfredo into a box, dumped the garlic bread on top of the container then pushed the bread off the container with her bare hands. We just wanted to get our food and go home so took our meal and left. Once we got home we realized that the side salad ($3.50) was not included.

Overall this was just a very disappointing experience from an establishment we typically enjoy...
