Suzan's Grill — Restaurant in Shelton

I love Susan's grill. The guy who is our waiter is always hilarious. I think he's the only waiter they have actually. Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen him not there. Which begs me to answer the question, Is he a robot? Oh well as long as his primary function is to be a great host then he's got it down, however if this is the take over the world kind of robot, you might need to check his programming. Anyway robot waiters aside Susan's food is delicious since I moved to this town the argument that I always hear between the rednecks and the yokels "is sisters is better" or "is blondies is better" the answer is neither because , susan's is better then both. I'm not really a breakfast guy but the chicken and waffles is pretty amazing. Last time I was there I had the Reuben also amazing. Biscuits and gravy amazing. Monte Cristo amazing. I know I know for not liking breakfast foods I sure have eaten a lot of breakfast foods. Well that's how good Susan's is I don't even like breakfast foods but I go there to eat their breakfast foods or their lunch foods or their dinner foods or their second breakfast foods. Do yourself a favor go to Susan's ask the waiter if he's a robot and if he says yes then give him a can of oil for a tip, or I guess...

I had heard good things about this restaurant so wanted to check it out myself and I'm glad I did. I ordered the corned beef hash which comes with two eggs cooked however you want and a bread of your choice. I ordered the biscuit and a side of gravy. The corned beef hash was not what I expected. Most hash that I have had is overly greasy and heavy. This hash was perfectly balanced and not greasy at all. It had the corned beef that they make in house, potatoes, green peppers, and onions. I ordered my eggs scrambled. I am a moderate eater, and could not finish all of my food. The biscuits are made in house as is the sausage gravy. This was an excellent choice as well as the gravy was the perfect consistency and flavor. I did sprinkle some Tabasco sauce on my breakfast as I like a little more kick. Suzan's is one of the best breakfast spots that I have found. I will have to try lunch on...

This place is okay. It's the okayest. I had chicken fried steak which was delicious. The plate included hashbrowns which were about a half serving compared to other breakfast places but there was plenty of food on the plate so no matter. The eggs were ordered over medium and came out over easy with very runny whites and I added an English muffin and asked for it extra toasted to crispy. It was warm soft bread not toasted at all and swimming in butter. We ate and did not bring it to the waitresses attention knowing we didn't want the hassle and time spent. The waitress did a great job and none of these things are on her. It's a cook problem. My friend enjoyed their breakfast and all was well on that side. Even after the small issues we might be back.
