This is as far from authentic Mexican food as you can get, I'm not sure what other people find authentic, just by the pictures you can tell it isn't authentic. The staff is rude and not knowledgeable about their menu. I asked about a specific menu item (street tacos is what they call them in Mexico) I described them in case they didn't use the same term. I was told there was no menu item that matched that description. I then saw exactly what I was asking for being set down on a local's table. When I told the waitress that was what I was asking about, she shrugged and said, "oh well". After we paid for our meal, I ordered a beer while waiting on our ride. When our ride arrived, we both stood up, I headed for the door and my husband stated he would be right out because he had to pay for the beer. Before he could turn around, the waitress physically grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him backwards, (he has a broken back and can barely stand or move) "hey, you still owe me for a beer". Completely uncalled for. An "excuse me sir" would have sufficed, he wasn't...
Read moreWe were in PA for a trip to a few off-road parks and we were in the mood for some Mexican food. We brought up Google and found La Casita De Familia and the reviews were good so we figured we would give it a go. We did one lap by and it looked a bit sketchy but decided that sketchy could be the best experience so we parked and went in. The main entrance area is small and we were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a table for 5 people and enough food for 20. They set us up in the bar area in the back with plenty of room. We ordered our food and placed our order. It was a large order of food and not thing was wrong with the order, including the changes and the extras that we added. Now to the good part, the food was AMAZING. We have quite a few Mexican restaurants near us at home in NH and this food made those restaurants seem like a Taco Bell. The food was plentiful and incredibly tasty. Everything seemed fresh and homemade and was worth every penny. The local patrons were a little questionable but overall it was a...
Read moreFriend brought me here for a dinner, and I was impressed. Had a casual cafe kind of vibe with a lot of really authentic and excellent dishes. We had tacos, chimichangas, and enchiladas, all amazing. They had a selection of fresh juice drinks that were just sublime. Absolutely loved those. The lime drink was one of the most refreshing drinks I've had. All of the food tasted fresh and totally authentic, I personally loved the pastor tacos and the enchiladas are the best I've had in years. Salsa and Fundido we're both great. Service was kind and friendly. Will definitely visit...
