I recently tried to place a call in order, and got their voicemail, not the first time that happened. So, I drove to the restaurant to place my order and also let the tall Latino behind the counter know about their phone. Well I did so once she acknowledged my existance. She did give me a weak smile as she went to the back. It should have went like this, " Welcome to Mr. Garcia's.I'll be with you in just a moment.Thank you", but it did not. Again this is not the first time for rudeness either. She came back out and took my order, but no payment, she just stood there and then left again. After getting my food I had to advise another young lady that I needed to pay. When I got home with my food, the entree was wonderful. However, I don't know what the problem is with them and corn tortillas, they are either dry, cracked and broken or they were like the ones.I received that day greasy and wet. I have made and purchased tortillas it's not that hard. But more so the rudeness I will not be sharing my money with them any longer. I will take mine to Elkton or Harrisonburg, they are...
Read moreMy friends and I came here after deciding we wanted Mexican and in a small area like this the options were limited. The front of the restaurant was full so the server had to bring us to a back room and turn the lights on to see us, we got our menus and put in an order for margaritas. The server came back and got two out of 3 drinks incorrect. He came back a second time and fixed one of the drinks but mine was still the incorrect flavour. I felt terrible having to send him back to the bar again but I personally did not like that drink however he was able to reconcile it and we put our food order in the portions were not as big as I’m used to from most Mexican restaurants however it was delicious and I ate it all. We cannot talk about Mr Garcia’s without talking about the mysterious white sauce that comes with your chips and salsa. If you are curious then try it but it tastes like a mix of mayonnaise and salad dressing and it is actually a common thing served in Mexican restaurants in that area but...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here yesterday for the first time. Seeing as I do not like cheese I ordered an item that listed no cheese whatsoever. A "Special Burrito" with Rice. Again, no cheese listed. It arrived covered in cheese and I asked the young man about it and his response...."I can scrape it off." Um. no. He went to get what was the manager and she said when the menu was reprinted they left some things off to include this fact but she also quickly said they would make another one. Fair enough and all was well. My wife seemed to like her dish and I thought mine was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Our server was a little too serious and should lighten up a little. Smile and converse just a little bit, at least. Interior seemed to be clean...
