I need to start by just saying thank you. Our wedding day moved so quickly, but what we and our guests keep coming back to is how absolutely blown away we/they were by Mountain Crust, Ryan and his team.

When looking for catering for our wedding, we knew we didn’t want the typical “wedding food”: chicken, steak, fish, or bbq. We wanted something fun and different. We threw around the idea of a food truck for a while but never really falling in love with many of the options we explored… that’s when our venue posted about Mountain Crust for another wedding they were hosting and I INSTANTLY knew I needed PIZZA.

From the moment I started talking with Mountain Crust, they were extremely transparent about what they offered, they responded quickly, but most of all they never once made it feel like it was a business deal. I worked with Kath quite a bit at the beginning to understand who they were and what they offered. She was willing and excited to answer all of our questions, especially the ones about having family that questioned having pizza at a wedding, and not only that but having it served out of a food truck… to that she put it simply- “they’re a catering company that just just so happens to work out of a food truck”. That stuck.

Once our date got closer, we began working with Ryan who is one of the most energetic people you will ever meet, I mean that in the best way! From the moment he first emailed me it felt like I was talking with a friend. He gave us the lowdown of the process, he needed a little bit more information on our choices and then we were rockin’ n rollin’!!!

I (Sam the bride) pulled up to the venue when Ryan was beginning to set up and with the biggest smile on his face he asked if I was Sam (not sure if it was the white dress that gave it away) and pulled me in for a hug excited about the day and what he was providing us. From that moment I knew it was more than just pizza he was providing, it was an experience and memories.

Every chance he was grooving with his team and you could tell each of them were just as happy to be there and it shows in the quality of food we had. It was INCREDIBLE (this is also coming from a girl who grew up eating Chicago pizza). The best pizza I’ve had in CO since moving here almost 8 years ago and it’s hard finding good quality pizza. After our ceremony we did a “take 10” where it was just us two and Ryan came in making sure we had appetizers to our selves and boy oh boy were they AMAZING. We had the lamb meatballs and lettuce cups. WOW.

I have never met someone more passionate about what he does. Ryan truly made our day something special and left us feeling like we’d known him forever.

We had heard such incredible things, but the word of mouth did not even come close to how excellent MC is.

The concept of a Pizza Truck for a wedding may seem out of the ordinary, but Mountain Crust is so beyond a pizza truck. The food options seemed to be limitless between the unbelievable array of appetizer options (all felt very high end), the pizza variations, the salad options, the BEST cookies on the planet, and so much more. They say that one of the main things you want guests to talk about when they leave your wedding is the food…. And boy oh boy have we not stopped hearing how great the food was!

On top of the incredible food quality, the thing that makes Mountain Crust the best caterer out there is the environment that they cultivate. From the moment the began setup, they were meeting people in the wedding parties, meeting our parents, and hyping us up as we were doing our first look and our pictures. During cocktail hour, they were hand-passing out the apps, and they seemed to be everywhere! They made sure everyone had what they needed, and no one was ever left out. And then dinner time… again, the pizza options were vast and accommodating, and the service was impeccable. Everyone had everything they could have possibly wanted, and no one had a single complaint about the food! (Which is totally unheard of)

Cut to reception and dance party time… they were still cranking out pizzas for people who still needed more (or those who worked up an appetite dancing the night away), and the man, the myth, the legend, SCOOTER!!!! hit the dance floor with our guests with cookies galore. When I’m telling you that Scooter is THE MAN… it’s too much of an understatement. He danced with our guests, passed out cookies all night, and had all of our guests wanting to be best friends with him. The perfect match of personality and incredible service.

If you’re looking for a caterer for your event or your wedding, I cannot recommend Mountain Crust any higher. We considered our wedding to be a pretty elevated affair (not casual by any means) and Mountain Crust was absolutely perfect. We are trying to figure out what next big life event we can host just so we can have MC cater again.

The setup was clean, organized, and beautifully complemented their wedding decor.

They were responsive to our inquiries, flexible with our menu choices, and proactive in suggesting options that suited our taste and budget. Their professionalism put us all at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy our son's day!
