This was - in the most literal sense - the worst service my husband and I have ever received in any establishment. I’m not being exaggerative at all. In fact, per my profile you can see I only ever leave positive reviews. I know my words will probably not change anyone’s mind to come here, but please be warned. You will be wasting your money. Here is a comprehensive list of everything that happened in our 45 minutes at the Popeye’s in Shorter. (Some bullets are more mild while others are very dissatisfactory). Waited 15 minutes to order even though we were the only two people in the lobby. Watched employees argue in the back while we waited. Not given lids or straws with our cups. None of the sodas had syrup. Every single one literally tasted like carbonated water. After changing our minds about wanting soda, even the lemonade squirted out and got all over my husbands clothes. You could tell this has been happening consistently because it was literally all over the counters and floors. Waited 20 more minutes on sticky counter tops only for them to never call out our food. We went to check on it and they finally gave it to us. Barely warm. No sauce packets. No napkins. And an incorrect order all together. We were not the only ones this was happening to. As all of this continuing to transpire, we watched as more and more customers came in having to correct orders; and beg for basic items like napkins and sauce.
I could go on and on about the filthiness and probable health code violations all of the workers were exhibiting; however you should know by now that this is not an acceptable place to eat. The sad thing is, they have 179 bad reviews, and people still continue to eat there. In fact, you’re probably reading this after eating a cold spicy chicken sandwich with pickles, even though you specifically asked twice for no pickles. Read moreMy second Popeyes today trying to eat. Still no food along my journey. First location told me to go through the drive through after walking… okay? And then they had issues with there card machine and I waited for them to reboot their machine. And it still didn’t work. After 20 minutes of waiting they didn’t give me my food and I had waisted time I could be driving.
This location I drove up to the drive through and was directed to go inside… okay…? Then once in there was no communication to anyone from the staff and after 5 minutes of me staring at the lady once it was my chance to order I gave up and left. She never said hello, hold on, be right with you. She wasn’t even doing anything except staring at a screen of orders.
At both locations there are no signs saying where you are “allowed” to place an order or if you have to pay a certain way…
I have now just added about an hour onto my drive because Popeyes has customer service issues. The first location should have given me my food for the inconvenience of waiting on them. It was bagged up and ready to go.

The cashier who took my order in the drive (her name is Essence) was very impatient while taking my order, instead of upselling and being kind and courteous she completely tried to rush my order whilst saying “what else”! When I finished placing my order I pulled to the window not knowing how much my total was. I asked to speak to the manager and the lady who took my order. The manager (Christopher) was taking payments in the window and wanted to argue with me saying she did absolutely nothing wrong. I need the district management team to listen to the recording of the drive around 5:15 pm. After the aforementioned is completed I need to receive communication. I open restaurants across the countries 32 different brands to be more specific! I’m well aware of exactly how this brand is supposed to be ran and this isn’t it!
