I love Johnnys I am a huge fan of the Pepperoni with olives well done and cheese sauce! My favorite pizza... Sadly since I have moved behind this location I haven't eaten Johnnys in months... I tried on three separate occasions when I first moved to enjoy the new factor of it being right there... Disappointing is as light as I can be. I always pre-order my pie so I don't have to stand and wait, well not once not twice, but three times they never started my pizza until I got there and we had to go through the computer and papers they had everywhere to find my order! Once online the second two I actually spoke to someone and placed the order... Upon finding the error I was then told it was fine, no sorry now, that it would only take ten minutes and they proceeded to start making my pizza.... Well it wasn't ok that is why I preordered and waited 20 minutes... The last one I actually tossed it in the garbage on the way home because the woman was scratching around in her head while, she was making my pizza, IN FRONT OF ME... Add all of that to the fact that it constantly smells like a toilet in there and its easy to see why this location will put you off Johnnys for good. Too bad the franchise doesn't shut them down for negating companies quality...
Read moreService was pretty good. They didn’t seem to want to be there but that didn’t interfere with their professionalism, so kudos to the staff. The food came out fairly quick. The breadsticks were kind of doughy and the crust on the pizza folded under the pressure of all of the toppings (I got sweep the floor). While the place wasn’t necessarily unclean the dining room smelled like cigarette smoke, the ceiling tiles need to be replaced, the table at our booth kept wanting to fall over, and the soft drinks tasted like there was mold in the lines on the machine. The carbonated water to syrup ratio on the drinks wasn’t that great either. I liked the school spirit on the walls, but the layout of the dining room felt very 80s/90s and kind of cramped. This is a completely informational and honest review and I’m not complaining by giving them 3 stars. It’s just my honest opinion mostly because of the building. The tables, floors, walls, countertops, cooking surfaces etc. all seemed to be taken care of really well and cleaned often, as far as the drink machines go they probably just haven’t had anybody bring it up. Get those lines cleaned yall. Thanks for the...
Read moreThis is my pickup order from last night, a large specialty pizza known as the Bacon Cheeseburger. This is a ~$20 pizza (out the door), not a budget-conscious 'party pizza' with an extra topping or two. It should be loaded up. For comparison, the other image is what the bacon cheeseburger pizza is supposed to look like according to Johnny's.
Notice how little hamburger there is. And mozzarella cheese. I used to make pizza at Johnny's when I was younger, so I know how they're supposed to be made. This ain't it. And I'm not even complaining too much about the burnt sauce around the edge, though that's out of spec as well. I get that putting the hamburger on the pizza is a bit tedious and time consuming, but.. this wasn't during the rush, the store wasn't busy and it wasn't closing time.
I suppose my main gripe with the Johnny's on Gilbert location is lack of consistency. It's a total crapshoot. Just need you guys to care a...
