The new owners at Brodys are VERY RUDE as you all can see in some of these other reviews. I consider myself a known customes whose been going there on and off for many years.When the older gentlemen were there it was a great atmosphere for me to walk into. The food was always on point with good portions, now it's changed in a bad way. I am a short order cook and I have some knowledge around a griddle. I went in there and ordered a bacon/egg on a bulkie with home fries. I noticed the cook taking some precooked eggs(that I'm sure he cooked a little bit earlier and put aside to speed up the service time) and through them on the grill with my bacon and begin to prepare my breakfast sandwich. Please remember ((that I am a short order cook myself ) so I asked the waitress if I could get my eggs cooked fresh and not reheated eggs with my sandwich. The blode (owner) heard my request and started running her mouth about Brodys cooking EVERYTHING FRESH and being VERY RUDE about my request. I don't think that me request was out of the ordinary especially being a SHORT ORDER COOK myself. I say to her that "I KNOW WHAT MY EYES ARE SEEING I'm a cook myself so please don't get rude about it" That's when the dark haired (owner) came over and says "Look we're really busy in here and we do cook everything fresh here" my response was "I know what I'm seeing with my own two eyes" She tells me "he's not reheating the eggs" meanwhile the blonde (owner) keeps with her RUDENESS and little comments. I finally canceled my order asked for my refund and told them that I'll never be back.

   Read moreToday... The wait was a little rough. Although, I understand the place is a small one. Honestly, I am never one to ever leave a bad review for anything. However, I do believe the need to hire a better waitress staff. Our waitress was shy and quiet didn't say much. Another waitress was an older woman, snappy and rude as hell! She was way too busy trying to get back to the counter people and continue her conversation instead. When we first arrived we came inside to see what the wait time was.. Her response was "there's a wait and it's nice out so you can wait outside". It wasn't as if she was asking nicely, she had an attitude as if it wasn't a choice to wait inside or outside. She was honestly responsive love this to everyone, not just us. I'm glad she wasn't "our waitress" because we wouldn't have stayed to eat at all! So, in all fairness the owner really needs to hire a better and more pleasant staff or they're going to start losing more customers. We weren't the only people thrown off by this woman's attitude and interaction. In all honesty, this was also like this the last time we dined here as well. We personally will not be attending or dining at this place again. If I was ever like this at my place of employment.. I'd be fired on the spot. This is why they only received one...

I first started coming here in 2023 when I voted them the best breakfast in Central MA. Iâm wondering if I can take my vote back. The coffee gets an A - itâs always hot, flavorful and served in a deep mug so you donât need to always ask for a refill. And the food is a solid B, may be a B+. But the counter service has gone from passably friendly to downright nasty. I donât know if staffing is the problem or not, but I waited and waited and waited for someone to ask me if I wanted a coffee when I sat down at the counter. And the last 3 times Iâve been there, including today, a waitress has asked someone that came in 10 minutes after me if theyâd like a cup of coffee, while I was still there, twiddling my thumbs. That simply cannot happen - ever. The other waitress that was intermittently at the counter - and who ended up having her lunch at about 10:45am while she turned her back to those of of us at the counter - must have had a bad day, as she could not have been ruder. I overheard her tell someone that she was going to the night shift this week and maybe thatâs because others have complained about her surly service? I do like the coffee and food here, but Iâm not going back again due to being made feel...
