I come here for the fried chicken, best in the area hands down. It takes a while if you order at the counter so I called in ahead. I arrived within minutes of my expected ready time of 7:22pm and within moments realized they gave my order to doordash. You'd figure there'd be some sort of apology, or at the least acknowledgement of what had occurred and your order rushed. Quite the opposite. I never heard another word from the staff beyond asking the name on my order when I first arrived, and 43 minutes later my order was ready at 8:05, after everyone who ordered after me had their food. My order was just left on the counter after I stepped out to close my open windows because it started to rain. Fantastic chicken, piss poor service.

Edit 11/16/23. I've been back once since the above review but didn't order in advance and it was fine. Tonight I placed my order in advance. The order receipt online said my food would be ready in 30 minutes and to pick it up at 6:15pm. I showed up at 6:13pm and waited for the next 47 minutes for my food getting it at exactly 7:00. My chicken was hot/good as it always is, but the mashed potatoes were powdery and dry and the gravy closer resembled jelly than it did gravy. It was warm, just very gelatinous. As stated above they easily have the best chicken in the area, but their service is absolute garbage and the quality of the food not chicken hit or miss. I'll probably never return after tonight, and especially if the rumors of a pending Popeyes come to fruition.

Rookies quality would benefit from restricting their food service to inhouse orders only and removing the togo...

Tonight I ordered to go food. When I arrived the bartender was SLAMMED. She had a full bar and many tables to take care of. She was all by herself, yet there were 2 cooks in the kitchen. My to go order was put up but 6 biscuits were taken by another customer and the bartender, who was wonderful, offered to remake the biscuits. The owner threw a holy fit about this and said she was at fault and I would not get my biscuits. When I said that's ridiculous and I needed the food I paid for, I asked for the phone and talked to the owner directly. He tried to tell me that this was all the bartenders fault. I told him that I have a degree and have managed restaurants for many years and this is not her fault, it's a staffing issue (aka his fault.) He did not like this and told me to mind my business and let him deal with his staff. The bartender made things right even though the owner was a PRICK!!! Before I left the owner had already sent another bartender to relieve the one who had done nothing wrong. I will not be supporting his endeavors any further as he absolutely refused to see how this was his fault not hers. It's a real shame too because he just lost a good customer who ordered from him often because its convenient and close...

We had never been there before but I wanted to go someplace new for my birthday. My husband and my oldest son and I went at about 11 am on a Saturday and we were the only ones there for a bit, which we like. The server, Lindsay G, was VERY NICE and we got beers and a Pepsi. We shot a few games of pool, the tables and cues are great. The music was a nice blend of country and at just the right volume. There's a nice back patio to have a smoke at. We ordered the Arizona Fries which were brought to us hot and they were delicious. We also ordered a Philly cheese steak with onion rings and the chicken tenders. Everything was served quickly and hot and it was all very yummy. The prices were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back. Thank you Lindsay...
