La Ruleta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Sikeston

Came to town to visit my parents and normally I would’ve ate El bracero but decided to try them due to them having a drive thru and I was in a hurry. Customer service was terrible! I was greeted at the window rudely by a heavy set Hispanic male, didn’t say thank you etc. Just literally looked at me in disgust. He told me my total was 11 then added 3 dollars to it at the end. When he accepted my money, no thank you or thanks for your business, not even as much as a smile. When I ordered no just a second, or estimated wait time. If I didn’t know any better I’d say he didn’t even want to take my order as a entirety. Maybe they’re racist, unsure. The food was ok 1-10 about a 7. They gave me hardly no rice & I specifically asked him about the half vs full order. I won’t be back somewhere who treats people this way. My girlfriend and I go to lots of mexican restaurants looking for the best food, we were in the area and saw the good reviews and figured we'd try it, let me tell you, one of the worst places we've ever had, 2.50 for tiny tacos I easily eat in 2 bites and unseasoned steak, cheap 'corn' tortilla, enchilada is thrown together and warmed up in the microwave, this place doesnt even have horchata. Idk what all the other people on these reviews are smoking but save yourself and go find a place that actually has authentic food, this place is overpriced for some of the worst we've had. I just pulled in to the south side of the parking lot. Two employees were standing in front of me, hanging out on the patio. I asked them what time they closed and they said, “No English.” That’s fine, not everyone speaks English. (I would have taken their picture, but that is invasive.)

I called the restaurant and didn’t get an answer. This is the second time I’ve dealt with this.

Their marg’s are overpriced and their service, although great in the beginning, has gone downhill. Also they only give pickled jalapeños, not fresh. Even if you ask.

Plus side- cheap Mexican and it’s close to my place. That’s about it. The taste is pretty good, just not good enough to put up...
