Novrozsky's — Restaurant in Silsbee

As a home owner in Silsbee going on 3 years. We would eat here and get food to go. Went today with my wife and her family after enjoying the car show. Noticed the higher priced ticket and approached the guy that did our order. Told him the pricing was not what it should be as far as the chicken salad being on the special for Saturday. Also told them that the 4+ dollar up charge for getting mashed potatoes on my chicken fried chicken was unusual. So this girl approached me and I explained to her. She had an attitude and acted like she was mad that they made a mistake on the order. She gave me cash money back on the salad , didn't apologize acted as if my wife should have been specific. Then I told her I've been getting this same meal to go for years on the mashed potatoes and that I've even been suggested to change the fries to mashed potatoes. Never paid 4 dollars extra for them. So she said that's how it is and I asked if something changed with that because this a first. She said "I've been here for 2 years." So I told her ok. Well can I just get the fries then and she said "No, we already made the mashed potatoes". So she refused my request. If that's the case I should have got the fries too right? Anyway. She treated me as if I was trying to scam them for money so I placed a dollar from the refund on their counter and said keep that , no big deal. (Tip). I'll never ever bring my business to this location ever again. I've never not felt welcomed at a place than I just did a few hours ago. They surely told the people walking out thank you for coming but as soon as me my wife and kid walked out. Crickets. It is what it is I guess. Since I don't feel welcomed here and I was treated with an attitude by someone that's been there for 2 years. I guess my 3 years going there as a silsbee resident , plus as a Lumberton resident prior doesn't matter. Food was good though and usually have good experiences with the rest of the staff but just don't like to be treated like I am below the rest of people that eat there. It wasn't about the money , it was about the lack of professionalism in the encounter that generated my review. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because I used to love coming to...

Newer Review.... I had been craving a Avocado Turkey Burger since I tried one last week. I had tried calling to place a all in order but could never get a answer. Now mind you we had just had some bad storms recently and power has been on and off across town all week, so I figured they were just having phone issues. But my craving was big enough I decided to drive to town and just order my food at the restaurant to go. Well I I got there and cars were in the parking lot but not like is usually there on a Sunday night. I went inside and looked at their daily menu and saw they were offering Meatloaf dinner with fried okra and mashed potatoes for only $10.99 It was my turn to order and I asked the nuce lady working of she liked the meatloaf and she said yes, and its actually been a hit woth everybody that has tried it. So that won me over and I decided to give it a try....Oh I'd say it's about a 20/10 !!!

Ya'll the BIG Chicken Fried Steaks Are Back!!! My family had stopped going to Novrozsky's about a yr or so ago because the portions had gotten drastically smaller on the CFS and the Chicken Strips and it wasn't worth the money for the amt of food you got. Well I'm happy to report back that I decided to give them another try today and was Blown Away by the size of the CFS I was given, it barely fit in the to go box. And it tasted even better than it looked. I called my meal in when I got off of work and by the time I made it there (about 15-20 mins) it was hot and ready. Even the fries were better than I remembered. The only complaint I half way even have is the gravey is a tab bit watery to me. But other than that I give it a...

In case someone actually reads and cares about reviews....I ordered a Taco Salad and drink to go for lunch and picked up in the drive through...Do not overfill the cup and make the drink come out of the straw hole! It's messy! If the drink is running down the side of the cup where you overfilled it...Wipe it off BEFORE you give it to me. If you give it to me like that, give me NAPKINS! I shouldn't have to ask for napkins to clean up your mess and avoid getting it on my clothes or in my car. Give NAPKINS with to go orders. All the napkins I asked for were used to clean up the drink. The taco salad was supposed to have avocados on it...it did not. Maybe the cook "forgot" or maybe you didn't have any. If you don't have any....tell the customer WHEN THEY ORDER! That is the main reason I order that salad. Didn't know this until I was back at work. If I order a SALAD, I need UTENSILS to eat it. Luckily I noticed and asked before I left.
