I placed our usual pick up order with El Patio CANTINA on Tapo and Los Angeles for fish tacos, tostada and arroz con pollo.

This location (El Patio RESTAURANT on Township and Tapo) answered and failed to tell me that my regular location was closed (and yes, I checked, I called the correct number/location) when they took my order.

So I went to pick up my order on Tapo/LA only to find the place closed (Google still says it is open, by the way). Called back, learned that the other location had taken my order instead. Okay, whatever... it's just down the street, right?

I pick it up.

The food was TERRIBLE.

The tostada was nasty looking with wilty shredded lettuce, brown guacamole (hardly even recognizable as food) and a layer of refried beans on the bottom (usually doesn't have this at the other location). My mom couldn't even stomach it.

The fish tacos, which usually have a generous filet on every taco, only had like 1/4 of the fish. Where the other location usually gives a big side of rice, this location was stingy.

The tortilla chips were old, stale and tasted like they were store-bought.

The only thing that was the same quality was the arroz con pollo and the salsa.

While I understand it's COVID and local businesses might be suffering (maybe that's why the other location was closed?), this location was obviously trying to cut corners on quality. Definitely not worth the $50 (plus tip) we paid.

Next time, tell people the location is closed (especially if they are driving there!) so they can decide to save their money and go...

Went to meet two friends. First time. Horrible service, had to ask for a waiter, had to ask to be served cocktails? Had to ask for menus.had to ask to be served. Had to ask for silverware. The service crew acted like they had no idea what was happening. Waiter came to table dripping in sweat on his face. Flustered. Yuck. Asked about a few menu items .. he had no clue how to answer. Ordered two margaritas came 20 minutes later. Finally was able to place food order 2 Shrimp burrito with vegetables. Came with a burrito filled with can shrimp and onions. NO VEGETABLES and a small amount of rice. Had to order a side of rice. Also ordered Shrimp fajitas .. brought beans rice and tortilla out and was told we have to wait 7 minutes for actual shrimp fajitas. End of story....

We ordered for delivery and given that the food was sealed the issues lies with whomever put the order together. I ordered two two taco plates that are supposed to come with rice and beans. One plate was supposed to be all rice but we did not get any if the side items for either plates and one of the two taco plates was supposed to be made with chicken but both came with beef. On top of all this the food taste was sub par; it was dry and bland and looked like it had been sitting under the warmers for a while I know COVID has restaurants struggling but that being said; with most of the business being take out and delivery you would think they would pay more attention to making...

I Love El-patio they have really great food. The enchilada salad is absolutely 💯 delicious. They have great Cadillac margaritas 😁. The chili verde burritos is yummy too! Some of my family and I went for my son's 10th birthday beginning of February. El-patio had heaters outdoors for the customers ,and one young gentleman was moving them around accordingly. Great customer service. I recommend to anyone who who is in the mood for Mexican food🤤

As good as any family style generic Mexican food I’ve had in New Mexico, Arizona, and the Desert in SoCal. It’s not going to win any awards, but the price is right, the plates are hot, and the margaritas aren’t too watered down. Kids are welcome and the patio, appropriately, is a centerpoint. I had the Chile Verde plate with flour tortillas. I’d like it to be a bit spicier, but understand we’re in Simi Valley, not Oaxaca.

We came on a Friday night at 6 and there were lots of people. We got lucky and found a table immediately. The service was very attentive, and while it took some time to get our food, we saw that no one else got their food before us. Our server joked they had go catch the cow. Food was very delicious and I would go again if I'm in the area.
