The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Simi Valley

Great place, nice quiet outdoor seating with a waterfall and wifi. They have a restroom and Kohl's is less than 1 minute around the way. If you want to try and compare to Starbucks in the Pavilions right next door, there is no comparison. CB&Tea has much richer flavors. Their coffee and teas are much higher quality and their pricing has not made any significant changes since The "Biden-Flation". You may notice at Starbucks what use to cost $3.50 is now $5.30. Why? Nothing has changed for them except gas prices which affects the cost but by $2.00. That is gauging. At CB&Tea there has been a $0.50 price change since Biden took office. CB&Tea has much better ice too. They always have one person taking orders while another is pumping out orders. If nobody is standing in line they, at a minimum have two, sometimes three people making drinks and filling food orders. Much better in my opinion. Keep in mind they have small, medium, large, and extra large. Not tall, grande, Vente or Trente. Also their fraps are called ice blended. But their chocolate tastes so much better than Starbucks. Staff here is friendly and leave their personal issues at the door before coming to work. Just an all around better place in that area. In my opinion. Obviously Starbucks has their die-hard fans. CB&TEA has an off menu tea called the Mojito alcohol free of course - it is so fresh and thirst quenching you can imagine sitting on a beach collecting 30% on your crypto while drinking a refreshing healthy Mojito. Side note, The Habit, Jersey Mike's and a Sushi bar are just across the parking lot. The sushi bar is probably the best quality in Simi. 02 Sushi, very nice and clean. Compliments maybe a desert...

Simi Valley location Tapo Street, it’s always been friendly here except the last time I was ordering I was approached by the manager that I always am changing or asking them to remake my drinks. That is totally untrue when I receive my order the order was watery and of course if the drink is watery, it has to get remade if it’s not right I think the manager here because she’s grumpy I thought she was friendly at first. She was nice because she helped me do my app for me to receive free points and that was amazing however she approached me offended me and acted like I was the one at fault but I made my own drinks watery and I’m the one who made my drink horrible when it’s the person behind the counter that made my drink horrible a new person that does not know how to make my drinks so I was basically discriminated against in this location and I will not be returning to this location ever again the manager is cripple she’s grumpy and she does not know how to treat the customers. they need to replace the manager with somebody more friendlier. She should never approach a customer about getting a drink remade and that I’m wasting product or whatever she tried to get her point across. It rubbed me the wrong way and I will never return to this location ever...

I take my coffee very sweet and cold, like a milk shake. Starbucks' Frappuccino is pretty good, but actually The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf does something better: the Original Ice Blended. Apparently they've been doing it longer too. It's very smooth and sweet, like a coffee milk shake. Starbucks' Frap is grainier than CBTL's and not as thick. It's a lot simpler and quicker to make here, too, so I'm out the door without much of a wait. I think some of the Starbucks need waiting rooms because of all the people standing around waiting for their drinks, but I digress.

The baristas here are friendly and fast, and they've got their stuff down to a science. This shop is kind of in a weird location in the shopping center, though, as it's right at the intersection of four paths in the parking lot. So you really have to watch out for the cars. Still, can't hurt for business to be in a prime spot.
