Service was great for my first visit. The salsa bar gives you a chance to sample many types of salsa to find your liking. Moderately priced and lowkey atmosphere. They give you a sample of refried beans with cheese and chips instead of the traditional salsa, but if you dine in, just go grab some. The hot salsa was flavored perfectly as well as the avocado and cilantro sauce. Now to the food..... I had a steak burrito with the traditional toppings and my queso on the side. The meat was seasoned very well but was dry and tough and COLD. I bit into this expecting a mixture of hot meat with cold toppings (sour cream, tomatoes) to balance the temperature but nope! Another good thing, the burrito was huge, so I cut it in half to eat and when I realized one side was cold, I touched the other side and the burrito was warm at best. The meat just was not hot- maybe the warming table isnt hot enough, I'm not sure but once I got home and reheated it, it was great. Eh, I'm not sure if I'd go back, but it was a quick grab for lunch near my office so...
Read moreBEWARE Avoid this restaurant at all costs! I used my debit card here and they double charged me. The girl behind the counter claimed the chip reader was not working and went over to another register next to her and swiped my card. I have called multiple times and spoken with Anna and at least three others about this and they still haven't reimbursed me for the second charge. They charged $72.04 using the chip reader and $82.05 when they swiped the card on another machine. This happened on April 23 and they still have not addressed the issue. The last time I spoke to them they asked me to send a picture of the double charges from my bank account which I did.
The only conclusion I can reach at this point is that they are scamming people and the second swipe of the card was done intentionally. Do not go to this restaurant!
###UPDATE### After multiple calls and talking to multiple people with no resolution, I had to go through my bank in order to get the refund. I will never go back to this restaurant and advise...
Read moreWell, I love Mexican food so I was excited to try this place, however have to say the food lives up to the name was just blah blah. I ordered the street tacos with Chipotle chicken and corn tortillas with all of toppings and sour cream. These were good and best thing I ordered. The worst were the Mexican rice and beans. Both were extremely bland and had no salt at all. The rice didn't have any onions or traditional Mexican seasonings. The beans were very thin and tasted like just added water to previously cooked beans. The spicy salsa was tasty & had a good amount of spice to it, however it was a little thin as well. The churros were really good and I enjoyed. The Queso had a great taste to it but unfortunately, it was really thin as well like sauce. I got some Mexican street corn and that was delicious and flavorful. I love Horchata but theirs was mediocre and nothing to brag about. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The service is very quick. I tried the location in Fountain Inn, maybe the one in...
