Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Sioux City

About an hour ago I went through the drive thru. I ordered a 6 dollar meal. She asked me what to drink. I said a Coke and she repeated it as a Diet Coke and so I corrected her and said, no a regular Coke. She then asked what flavor of Sundae I wanted and I told her that I wanted to upgrade to the Blizzard. She asked me what kind and I told her a Reese's Pieces Blizzard. I then ordered a side of Onion Rings, a side mind you. I pull up to the window, got my food, and pulled around to their parking lot to eat. I tried my Blizzard and discovered it wasn't a Reese's Pieces Blizzard but a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. I opened the sack of food and discovered that they replaced my fries with the side order of Onion Rings. Of course there was no napkins, which seems to be routine for these fast food places. I guess the gal who took my order doesn't understand what a side order means. Or the difference between Reese's Pieces and Reese's Peanut Butter cups. I would appreciate napkins. Anyway, Dairy Queen and other fast food places just can't get it right. And yes, these places are very slow getting your order. I have left the line at Dairy Queen and other places because they are slow...

I was in this DQ on Thursday, July 27 around 4:45pm., so close to supper and blizzard day for CMN. I can not say one bad thing about the experience! The young guys working were all very polite and all about customer service! DeSean took my order. The food was brought to my table very quickly. All of those young men worked together like clockwork. When they were done with one task, they were looking for something else to do. They didn't just stand around. One of them helped an elderly get her food to her table get situated. As I was leaving, I asked to speak to a manager. This same guy got her right away. I told her how impressed I was with her crew and how polite they were and their work ethic. She was very happy to hear that. She said she just took over that store 2 weeks ago. So, if you have given them a negative review, please go back and give them another chance. I think you might be pleasantly surprised!! Kudos to the guys at...

I don’t really get any food, as I personally find the food very lacking in quality and taste. The ice cream is generally pretty good. Sometimes there appears to be a machine (is possibly a mix) problem, as they are served too soft and can even be a bit liquidy. There are also times where you get a blizzard and the bottom half of the cup is pure vanilla, and all the toppings are in the top half, because someone didn’t spend time mixing it correctly. However, it’s still ice cream and still tastes good…. but it’s still not what you paid for. The lobby is often half way decent, but could generally use some care, and the bathrooms are often quite gross. Employees can be nice, but many often seem grump and act as thought they really just don’t want to be there. I get it… I don’t want to have to go to work either, but, I don’t act all put out and grumpy to customers either. Again, some are quite decent, it’s not...
