I Went to Great shots for the very first time on my birthday and on a date with someone because I heard so much good things about the place and couldn’t wait to try it. The place looks great but service was not. It took almost an hour to get a server and it was not “busy” at all. I work at a steakhouse and know what busy is. We arrived and didn’t get service the first 20 minutes and I went back to the front and asked the guy if we have a server he said “they should help you the first 6 minutes to let us know about food and how the golfing works “ but nobody came. I asked to switch tables to see if there was any other servers to help us so we moved to the end and let the hostess know we wanted to move he said okay. We moved to the other table and it took another 25-30 minutes without even getting a single drink. Then when the server came she said that we were “hidden”….like be frl. Then we got our food and did not get any silverware until after we ate and she asked “did you guys not receive silverware?” . At this point I’m fed up and it’s my birthday I’m trynna have a great time. Food was great though!! When it came to golfing We didn’t know what we were doing when it came to the golfing nobody helped us with it and explained it to us so we had to figure it out ourselves. On top of that before we left a table came next to us and the same server helped them right away they got served as soon as they sat down….i don’t know if it was a race thing or what but we didn’t get the treatment everybody else got but I’m happy everyone else was happy with the service ! So after all this I spoke to a manager very nice lady and understanding I told her what happened she helped me a lot and gave me discounts and 2 hours of free golfing the next time I come because I was not gonna pay $90 for a bad time on a birthday respectfully. All in all will not go back again I thought it was gonna be a great place everybody was talking about but hopefully in the future it would be better for others. Just wanted to share...

However it took us nearly 30 min to register/pay before we could play using a simple gift card with no one else in line... Felt like a car sale negotiation with 4+ people behind the counter deciding how to proceed or having to double check with managers. But I think my biggest frustration was being forced to pay a $5 non refundable registration fee per person in my group utilizing my driver's licence and other personal info. I don't like to give my personal info out or to be charged for the "convenience". It also put my guests in an uncomfortable spot getting invited then being forced to give up their personal info and pay unexpectedly just for being in the party.
Again, it's fun once you finally get to your booth to play and has a great atmosphere but it was a very frustrating customer experience getting to that point.
Covid-19 consideration. Since it's outside the risk is lower however since it wasn't busy they that night I wish they had at least spaced the parties out to every other booth. I understand that's not possible when is busy but that simple consideration when it's not would have been much...
Read moreWe had a family dinner here as everywhere in sioux Falls was overbooked. I have never had such lousy customer service in my life. The food was great, minus my kiddos pizza never being made. By the time it was finally done we were all ready to leave, might I add It was a kids menu cheese pizza. So came time for the bill and 3 of the 4 bills were messed up. Charged for things we did not order such as 4 sides of ranch(we all hate ranch)charged for meals not on my order. They tried to fix the bill 3 different times and never once was it correct. We paid and left, woke to see my bank account was charged for my bill and someone's else's bill in our party whom paid cash for theirs. Never once were we offered compensation or any type or remediation. I went in the next day to fill out charge dispute forms. Asked for a call Monday once this was resolved, never got a call and as of Tuesday charges are still on my account. Had to call them, again no offer to make this situation better just that it will be taken care of tomorrow.
