Luigi's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Skiatook

We had a very enjoyable lunch today and were very surprised to find such a nice restaurant and exceptional Italian food. We drove up from Tulsa on a recommendation from a friend who lives in Skiatook and we were not disappointed. I haven’t found anything to match it in Tulsa. We don’t even try Italian restaurants anymore because they are so disappointing. I’m Italian and cook Italian. We eat Italian at home mostly because I have been disappointed so many times in so called “Italian” restaurants. Not Luigi’s. Our entree was cooked to perfection. Came out hot and delicious with all the delicate flavors and aroma you expect from fine Italian cooking. The Chicken Piccata was so tender and delicious. It is not a difficult dish to prepare and so many restaurants mess it up. We are looking forward to going often to sample many of the excellent items on their sophisticated menu. They also had a very nice wine list. The only recommendation I would make is that they should consider clothe napkins. We visited this place with our friends tonight for the first time. The place we originally was going to go to was closed, thank God. The atmosphere was definitely neat. When I looked at the menu I was a little skeptical, didn't think it was anything special. I ordered the sausage appetizer and that blew us away!! We ate so much bread dipped in the sauce it was soo good!! I then ordered the Luigi Special as my entree. It was delicious! Now I didn't care for the sausage necessarily in that dish but everything else was amazing! I finished it off with a piece of Limencello cake and it was the perfect ending to a great experience. We all took bites of each others dishes and let me tell you, I have never tried so many great foods from one place at one time! They were very consistent in their dedication to every dish. The flavors were astounding! I was extremely satisfied and impressed! The ONLY thing I was slightly dissatisfied with was the service. I felt like the staff could have been a little more attentive and friendlier but they did okay waiting on us and the food was great so I'm not that disappointed. Highly recommend and cannot...

UPDATE: We've eaten at Luigi's several times since our original visit. Today we ordered the medium Supreme Pizza and it was absolutely delicious 😋! Plus, every time we've gone there we've seen staff cleaning. They earn FIVE STARS every time we go there.

It was our first time there and we were very impressed. I ordered the lasagna and I believe it to be the best I've ever eaten. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce and he was just as pleased with his dish. You also receive delicious rolls with wonderful olive oil for dipping. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was nice and clean. We were also treated to a very tasty lemon cake. It's been a long time since I've given a rave review.
