Found LouSkis on Google and tried it for the first time this morning. LOVED IT! Great little spot in a Skykomish - a great little town with a great little name. LouSkis (also a great Name) is a cute little place where everything looks like it's in just the right spot. Not neccesarily "throw back", but a great Small Roadhnouse Cafe vibe.

Got the Breakfast Burrito. OMG. Comes with Bacon and Sausage, bursting with fresh scrambled eggs and some accent veggies, and served with a red sauce that's got a little PUNCH! Could not even finish 1/2 of it. Just had the rest for dinner.

I love places like LouSkis. Great atmosphere. Nice people. Prompt service. Fair prices. Good hearty food. What's not to like?

And GOOD LUCK to the State Plowing Crew that were out training and stopped for a coffee. The kid driving the Truck looked to be all of 13 (I'm kidding of course) but he was brand new and getting his first miles behind the wheel on this nice day. The Boss Man said he was doing just fine and coming along nicely. Thanks to all the hearty and brave Men and Women who are out there workin' their tails off - keeping those roads safe and scarped for us Civilians heading for the Ski Hill and / or Grandmas House. (And remember Kids... Beer time is AFTER you park the car, not before you get in.)

Try LouSkis. I think...

This place is FANTASTIC! We came here after hiking Colchuck and were really craving a bite. Normally, we go back home, or go out for burgers, but the pictures on Google looked so good, we thought we'd give this place a try. Not only did the sandwiches look delicious (and fully loaded) they also tasted AMAZING! They were so big, we didn't even miss that they didn't come with fries. It may have been one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. I had a Turkey Club with bacon, cheese and all the fixings. My friend had the French Dip, and had only good things to say about it Would definitely come back to this place if we were in the area. And I may be more of a post hike sandwich person now. 10/10 would recommend to family...

I was here about 8 years ago, and for some reason always remembered it. Glad I got the chance to stop by again. Solid stop for burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, sweet treats, and snacks. Love the rueben! Outdoor seating area, plus several picnic tables. Nice view of the mountains, and might catch a train going by on the other side of the river. Small selection of misc camping supplies, and beer to go. Couple of EV charging stations. Room for RV or trailer to pull around back. Across the street from the...

A #Washington Waterfall Weekend GUIDE - #indexwashington brought to you by @pnwpassport Stay at the M House - @letter_m_house is like hitting the jackpot in the heart of the #PacificNorthwest. This #Airbnb gem sits right by the South Fork #SkokomishRiver, offering stunning mountain views and a hot tub that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of adventuring. Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation 🌲 Check-In at M House: The minute you step into M House, you’re greeted by panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and river. The spacious deck and cozy hot tub will make you never want to leave. This spot is perfect for morning coffee or an evening soak under the stars. Day 2: Waterfall Adventure 🌅 Morning: Wake up early to catch an epic sunrise right from the deck. Trust me, it’s worth it. 🚶‍♂️ Stop 1 - Eagle Falls: This easy-to-access waterfall is just off Highway 2 and is the perfect spot to start your adventure. The water cascades down into a beautiful pool, making it a great place for a quick dip or some stunning photos. 🌳 Stop 2 - Bear Creek Falls: A bit more off the beaten path, Bear Creek Falls is a local favorite. The hike to the falls is moderately easy and the lush, green surroundings are simply breathtaking. 📸 Stop 3 - Deception Falls: This one’s a must-see. Deception Falls offers a mix of roaring waters and tranquil spots perfect for picnicking. The interpretive trail around the falls makes it an educational stop as well. Lunch Break 🥪 Lueski's Deli: Swing by Luski’s Deli for lunch. Their Reuben sandwich is legendary—packed with flavor and piled high with corned beef, it’s the perfect fuel for the rest of your day. Evening: Return to M House 🔥 After a day of exploring, head back to M House for a relaxing evening. Light up the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, and enjoy the tranquility of the river flowing nearby. Maybe even try your hand at some trout fishing right off the bank. @letter_M_house is offering PNWpassport followers 15% off the nightly rate on 3 nights or more. It’s wild to me that I was offered a refund for how terrible my first experience here was, and no one has responded to my email or reached out to me. I sent over a screenshot of the transaction with the date I was there, and nothing. So frustrating when a business posts they will refund you, but you come to find out they were just saying that. I’ve received zero refund.

I dropped off a Veteran client in town this afternoon and he said that it was a great place. Well, it's an Incredibly Great Place! I have always been a fan of Ruben sandwiches and the Ruben here has no equal. Do not hesitate and spend your money here. The staff are friendly and hard working so please tip them well. A tip o' the hat!
